Getting better all the time!
Husband’s back procedure seems to have improved his pain. He still has a bit of pain but it could be 2 months before it all settles down. However if he hurts his back now, the pain doesn’t linger like it did before. I noticed this morning he turned over in bed very fast whereas before he could only do it very slowly, bit by bit. Then he got up and there was none of the usual slow walk until he could straighten up. I was so pleased and he didn’t even notice until I called it to his attention.
The other day he did all the front garden. Bending over and spraying the weeds and felt no pain. So I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this is how he’ll always be.
We also found out that now he’s on the Aged Pension, our car registration is much cheaper. Also he gets rebates on the electricity bill and his driver’s licence! Doctor’s bill is only $12 and prescriptions I think are $8. Not real sure about scripts as he hasn’t had one yet.
He’s decided to go down to Melbourne for a couple of days to see Evan. Taking the train (half price for him) and staying in the city when Evan can get 2 days off. A dad and son time. I have no idea what they’re going to do. But I’ll have 2 days in charge of the remote! LOL
I messaged Melissa to see if she would come to Melbourne when I’m down there maybe next month and we can spend some mother/daughter time together. I’m looking forward to that too. I’ll also see Betty, my SIL and my cousin and aunt. I need a girls’ weekend.
I dreamt last night that I bought a house worth $294,000! I rarely remember my dreams but this one I did. Now I’m just wondering where all the money came from.
My busy month is nearly at an end. There didn’t seem to be as many Christmas/New Year holidaymakers as usual. People are saving their money not knowing how the world economy will end up.
We’ve been watching the tennis on TV all week, something we rarely do. I’m not a fan of today’s tennis. They all seem to stand on the base line and just hit back and forth. However we’re hoping Andy Murray can carry the flag for Scotland.
Melissa asked me to find some photos of her friend who is turning 30 next week. They went to high school together and got up to goodness knows what.lol I had a great time looking through them all, trying to find funny ones as Melissa is making a display to take to the party. There’s nothing quite like looking through photo albums.
OK off to read my favs then sleepy time.
Bye……….
Oh, we’ve a few more years before Papa Blue is eligible for full retirement, but we’re looking forward to a few breaks after all these years. Great news on the surgery! Hey, tonight, could you dream I make a million bucks? 🙂 Don’t let the remote control power go to your head! LOL! I only laugh because Papa Blue falls asleep with it clutched in his hand. 🙂 RYN: The picture is not in my possession, but I’ve seen it and she is definitely a Seminole. I just don’t think she’s of Cherokee lineage.

Glad that your husband’s back is a bit better. It’s great getting all the cheaper things when you get to be a certain age! I will be 60 in another year and am looking forward to a free bus pass!

RYN: we don’t often get that prolonged cold in Florida, so if we lick our lips, it doesn’t seem to matter. Probably because the weather warms right up. But when we DO get a week or more of really cold temperatures, or, as in this case, we go north, I have to constantly remind myself that although it gives temporary instant gratification, the price paid is chapped lips. LOL!
