Bee sting and Insurance companies.
Still waiting to get my air conditioner fixed. Tomorrow morning it should be done as the guy had to order a new pump. I hope that’s what the problem is. Don’t need any more major bill issues. At least today was a bit cooler than the last 2 days. I could open the windows and doors and the breeze was nice and cool.
Yesterday when it was really hot I hosed the dogs down to try and keep them cool. Our male dog loves being hosed, but the female wasn’t too happy! It did cool them down though.
When I went to connect the hose to the sprinkler something pricked my finger. Thinking it was a prickle, I was shaking it and trying to flick it off with my thumb. Only to discover it was what I think was a bee sting. I had forgotten how painful they can be. I’m not really sure though as any bee stings I had were always extremely itchy afterwards. But this is right on the side of my index finger and is sore and swollen. I didn’t realise I used the index finger quite so much. It’s making work hard and typing and phoning I have to use the middle finger. If the swelling isn’t better tomorrow, I may have to see the doctor or maybe I’ll just ask the chemist. Takes forever to get a doctor’s appointment at our surgery.
We’re off to Melbourne on Sunday as husband has treatment on his back on Monday morning. They’re going to cut the nerve and hopefully it will relieve the pain in his back. My husband doesn’t suffer any pain in silence and I am the opposite, with a high pain threshold. So this procedure will help me too.LOL
Tomorrow I am changing insurance companies. I got some quotes for house and car and while my current insurer wasn’t the dearest, I can get the 2 policies for $300 less with another big company. I also found out I don’t need my landline for my internet. They could have told me that when I changed 2 years ago . I’ve been paying for this landline for nothing. I have a laptop and my net connection is a gizmo that goes in the USB port. I use my mobile for all my phone calls.
OK that’s it.
Bye……..

Happy New year. Hope you are feeling better and that Hubby’s Melbourne trip goes well. we did have a couple of hot days there didn’t we? Our house keeps pretty cool so we haven’t used the a/c yet. Been a bit warm but ok with just fans.

Prayers for smooth surgery! RYN: Oh, first the insurance company raises rates. THEN they dump you.

RYN: I knew I had a Seminole ancestor, but haven’t been able to trace her. There is one picture of her and I know her name, but no records.

Yes, once my mother dies I’ll be over to a mobile phone only before you can say “Lower bills”.
