Still no shower.
Nearly the end of the 2nd week and still no shower. Thank goodness for nice neighbours.
We finally got the shower base and unit only to find when Ken went to set up the unit, the doors were deeply scratched top and bottom of the trim. “Not our fault”, said the supplier. “It left here all wrapped and must be the delivery driver who damaged it”. But for the 2 doors to rub together it meant it wasn’t securely packed in the first place.
Anyway while we’re still waiting to hear back from the company, Ken has taken the scratched top and bottom parts off the door and has decided he will try and match it from another supplier so we can have our bathroom back. What a comedy of errors.
And tomorrow is the plumbers and builders golf day so maybe we’ll have a shower with no water. I told husband he could stand in it and I would tip water over him! lol
Just as well we don’t stress easily. But if the company calls me to say they won’t replace the shower door, they’ll get an earful from me. I’ll threaten them with a Facebook rant.lol
Being more than a week behind means Ken, who’s self-employed, is behind in his other work.
Melissa leaves for India sometime over the weekend I think. I hope she’s taken some sort of medication with her in case of tummy bugs.
Evan texted me to say he had caught a cold because of the stupid weather. Melbourne yesterday had a top temp of only 12C which is winter weather. The day before it was 35C!
The spinal procedure husband had a few weeks ago was positive, which means they want to go ahead and cut the nerve which is causing his back pain. I hope this is the end of his back trouble. That would be tremendous. We’re just waiting to hear if the insurance company will ok it.
So that’s my news for the week. No shower until goodness knows when. Hopefully my next entry will be telling that it’s finally done.
Bye………
I hope you get the shower soon. What an inconvenience!
