My house is in a state.

We’re getting a new bathroom and laundry. The guy came yesterday to rip out the old stuff and take the floor and wall tiles off. I’ve never seen so much dust and I just hope I’m not breathing it in. Bits of tiles over the laminate flooring isn’t nice either, but I cleaned and swept the place before the plumber comes today to install the shower and new tap fittings, then the builder comes back to finish off. I have no shower at all and no toilet during the day. We can use next doors shower though, so we are at least staying clean but dusty!
Also seeing heaps of small spiders running around. I can live without them. I wish I could say I just put them outside, but that’s not the case. They come in my house, they die!
We both were at the doctors yesterday, having the 2nd injection for Hepatitis. We needed the first when we travelled to Africa and decided we may as well finish it off with the 2nd one, as that means we’re fine for 20 years. If only we had enough money to travel for 20 years that would be wonderful.
I also had to be put on blood pressure pills. I’m just on the edge of being a high reading, but have been feeling somewhat lightheaded lately. Can’t complain though as I have friends who are on many medications and this is my first. I was hoping if I keep losing weight I can come off them eventually. I have to see the doctor in another 4 weeks to see how things are.
We’ve been up since 7am to make sure we had breakfast, etc over and done before the plumber came. However at 9.40 there’s no sign of him.
The builder has arrived and informed me the shower base won’t arrive until tomorrow. It was to be here today but the company sending it out with the new shower screen decided to save us freight by waiting for the screen and sending the 2 together, even though they were told we need the shower base today and weren’t worried about extra freight charges! And the builder is now phoning the plumber.
Well I have hammers, saw and other implements making a tremendous racket, so we’ve decided to head out and leave them to it. That’s the beauty of a small town. We know the people and can trust them to lock up if they leave before we get back.
THIS is the trip Melissa is doing for 2 weeks in India. After that she is going to Trivandrum for a week and is staying at an Ashram. She’ll have lots to tell us when she gets back on Dec 24th. I often wonder where the terribly shy Melissa went. She has certainly changed.
I wonder when I will be able to shower in my new bathroom?

Bye……………

I’m glad Melissa is riding the elephant & not me! LOL! I kill spiders, too. Take care of you. **HUGS** RYN: You very seldom see pumpkin served as a veggie here…mostly as pie, sometimes as soup.

RYN: It’s sort of upscale fare here…not because of cost but because of its rarity.

Melissa is certainly doing a lot of travelling. I went to Cochin and would have liked to have stayed in Kerala for longer. Hope your bathroom will be finished soon with all of the mess cleared up!

RYN: Thanks! Do you have a similar holiday?

I hope all your building work goes to plan and is soon all over and looking lovely again.

RYN: Yep. That sounds about like here. I think greed is going to do civilization in.
