SOTU
The first State of the Union by President Trump was tonight. I’m not sure how I feel about it. I can agree with 80% of the direction he’s taking my neighbour to the south. Clean coal – is there such a thing? At least he didn’t talk about drilling in the artic.
Really, I just want the memo released.
After much delay, I cleaned my kitchen today. It was so disgusting. I haven’t cooked in it since I last cleaned it and my roommates destroyed it, in all fairness it was mostly the new guy.
Two hours to do a 30 min job, the cooktop alone took an hour.
I didn’t get mad; I couldn’t, I realized that when someone new comes in, I don’t always give them the low down on how things should be done. Hence, he didn’t know to clean the grease and burnt on bits off the ceramic top. In my defence, that’s pretty obvious, but with melinineals, it’s apparently not.
I wound up sending a relatively long letter to them both outlining how things are to be done in the kitchen. I wasn’t angry and pointed that out a few times. I also pointed out that this was going to be the start of a list of how to do things for new people. It’s especially important since I will be renting the house out for up to six months at a time, if not longer.
I lied in my last entry, my list of places to move to is still at 25. I haven’t been able to bring it down to 10, and to the short list to three isn’t that far away.
Khatmandu is definitely on my to live in list. But it does get incredibly cold there. That is something I’m trying very hard to avoid; on the other hand, Nepal is gorgeous.
I don’t know what I’m going to do with Tigger; unless I expat the most I can stay in most countries is six months at a time. That’s not worth putting her through the trauma of shipping her to another country at least twice and up to four times in a year. She’s old, 15 in people years.
Well, I’m hungry. time for my night snack and then sleep.
Long live the constitutional republic.
