Itsy bitsy snowflings
I am utterly, UTTERLY sick of this weather. I am not a Midwestern girl at heart – the snow and the bitter winds and the gray skies are not inspiration nor comfort nor beauty. But I must pause a moment – I do find random moments of awe in the flakes. When I am walking alone at night and the gentle falling of the snow muffles all that is around me, I can find a tiny inner smile. It is quickly overcome, though, by the prospect of bundling up during the walk to class, the dirty pools of water that form just past the doormats in all of the buildings, and the frozen fingers and toes. I have a tightly defined love/hate relationship with this state, with this weather, with this way of life.
But if my life continues on the route that it appears to be on now (and who knows if that will actually happen!), then I believe that I will find myself in the land of warm sun, sandy beaches, and muggy nights all year long.
Here’s to Maui! 😉
John and I joke about moving to Hawaii. I don’t think he realizes how serious I am. heh.

Thank you for your input. Peter Gabriel does, indeed, rule. For the most part… 🙂
