Beatles Night

Recap of the past few days:

On Saturday, I went out to camp to say goodbye to Andrew. He, Drew and I fooled around with BB guns and went with Ana to TB and The Cigarette Depot. I stayed out at camp for a few hours, then came home. Then I got to go pick Mitch and Margo up at the bus station. That was fun, mostly because they weren’t expecting me to be there, but also because I love seeing Mitch after he’s been away. And Margo’s hair is CUTE. I love my glass rose. 🙂 I just need to figure out where to keep it so it doesn’t get broken. Mitch and I went back out to camp to hang out with Andrew, Ani, Jessie, and Biff. It was a really fun night.

On Sunday, I sat around. All day. 🙂 It ruled.

Monday was work – rolling drip tubes for 5 or so hours. Tasha and Josh had a mud fight, but when Karla went into the mud…oh boy. That’ll become legend. We got ice cream and then ended for the day. I watched ritual “Law & Order” with my dad (both episodes), then feel asleep until Mitch came over at 10. We hung out and just enjoyed each other’s company. We talked a lot, too. I genuinely enjoy his company and his friendship. A LOT. It’s awesome.

Today was a plant and ear height trip to Madison. It was hard to balance the giant stick and it made my back hurt, but lunch was really great (6 crackers!), and I had my own personal pillow in Brad’s truck, so…no complaints. We got back fairly early, so Mitch and I went to help finish rolling drip tubes. At 7, I went over to Jen’s. I hadn’t been there in so long, it was kind of weird! But I got to talk to her parents, which was awesome, and I saw Sadie! 🙂 The group ended up being Jen, Val, Erin, Ani, Emily, Micky (!) and me. Micky told us all about boot camp. It was really fun to hear about it, especially after I’d seen that thing on Discovery about the Marines. It was so good to see her, too! She’s the bright and bubbly girl that left Janesville six weeks ago. 🙂 It was a really nice night of reminiscing, giggling, and making plans. Jen, Erin and I are hitting the UW game on the 23rd. My first student game! Yay!

My mom read part of my story today and told me to get a literary agent. ::laughs:: Yeah, right!

Tomorrow’s work (but we get a party, too!), Thursday’s work, and then I get to go play in a canoe for three days. Then, another week of work, the game, one last date (it’s not like we’re breaking up, but we’re making some big life changes, so I want one last “pre-college” date), a doctor’s appointment, PACKING, and I’m out of here. It’s so short, but so long.

What a paradox.

And now I’m off to sleep. Adios, hasta luego y buenas noches.
