“I apologize for the traffic…”

Today was pretty good – I finally got into that Intro to Mass Communcation class that I’ve been wanting for so long. Bad news? My dad woke me up at 6:30 to tell me that. I’d only been asleep since 4.

Not good. I was up for an hour, then crashed until 11, when Corey called and said he’d pick me up 20-25 minutes. So I went into hyper mode and he and his parents got me around 11:30. We went up to Madison for the tour at 1. It was fun – I’ve never done a walking tour of campus, I found most of my buildings (even one classroom!) and our guide, Sarah, was hyper! She must inject caffeine directly into her veins. 🙂 I got a little scared, thinking how close college is…I’ve only got about a month (a little more, since the Madison kids leave the latest, except for Chicago). It was a weird feeling. His parents are a lot of fun, very cool. We did a McDonald’s drink run on the way home (Earl saved us with the straws!), then Corey and I hung around here for a bit. We went on a walk, then at eight, we went with my parents to pick up Ani. We went to a VERY awesome Loyal Blue show, where I saw some people I haven’t seen in FOREVER. That was freaky. I got in touch with Mitch, who was on Erin’s cell phone. He had a long day of work, and he has to go in tomorrow, too. I feel bad for him. Not only does he have long days, but it’s physical labor, too, which is exhausting. He’s tough, though. My parents dropped us off at Ani’s, where we crashed her sister’s 14th birthday party and I got water with brown ice (I think it was drugs). Ani got her car, I got her hat, and we put in Punk Covers #2. We took the VERY long way to Taco Bell, singing along VERY loudly on the circuit to “Build Me Up Buttercup.” We ate there while I recounted the details of my accident to the two of them. We did the circuit a few times, then came home, to find out poor Val and Shane had been at my house for almost an hour! ::cringe:: We all bummed around, looking at pictures and playing with video tapes and my camera. It was really fun and sentimental and relaxing. Val and Shane left, then Corey and I played Smash Brothers while Ani looked at pictures. Ani left, Corey had to beat the giant hand, and then I took him home. “Heaven” was on the radio, as well as “One Week.” Very solid. Some LOVELY person tailed me on the way home, which rather pissed me off. I was going 35 in a 30, and they still felt the need to ride my ass? Insane…and now I’m utterly dead tired and I miss Mitch. I feel disconnected and unimportant.

I need some Paxil, a glass of water, and to sleep for a very long time. Later, y’all.

When I die, the vision of us driving down Milton Ave., rocking out to Build Me Up Buttercup and yelling will flash before my eyes. Thanks, darlings.
