Caught between emotions now…between absolutely happiness and gut-wrenching sadness.

How? Oh, it’s possible, trust me.

I don’t remember when I last wrote in here, so I’ll just “recap” the weekend.

Friday (at school) wasn’t anything too interesting. The must part of the day was during the pep assembly. Rush made us go back after we played ( geez, the drums were loud enough!), but we got to just sit in the hall right outside of the guys’ locker room. So we could hear everything that was happening in the gym, but we didn’t have to actually “participate.” You know what I mean. It was Bryce, Paul, Mitch, Andrew, Justin, Byran, Paul, Jeff, Matt, Myra, Sara, and Amanda (plus a few others). We played with streamers (dirty!) and talked and threw Andrew’s shoes around and had a fun time. After school Andrew, Mitch, and Naomi came over. We (minus Naomi) went to Craig around 6 (I got to drive the Bravada again!). Rachael did my hair, then we got all lined up out on the field. I LOVE Intonation Motivation at twilight. Seriously. I got THE coolest feeling. And nearly cried when I realized I will never, ever have it again. *my little goodbyes* Bus buddies with Steph, we sang “Blood Brothers” down there. Chilling in the stands, saw Katie, Emery, Ellie, Abby, Marissa (!), Richelle, Julia, Racheal, Cassie, and Dana. How cool. Derek was there, of course. 🙂 Just a very cool night…we didn’t mess up marching! Rock on! Afterwards, there was a pathetic attempt at Perkins, then we went to Amanda’s. Had yummy apple cider, got a weird look from someone (I didn’t do it!), and took two walks. The first was with Ben. And it was really good. The second was with Sara and Chris. And it was really good. We didn’t actually…solve the problem, but just having the two of them listening was more than enough to make me content and a little more at ease. Ben took me home around midnight.

Saturday/Sunday – noon w/ Naomi at Selina’s. Selina is the only one I know who could put Red Lobster and 9/11/2001 in the same conversation. *grins* Naomi’s hair was GORGEOUS! We gossiped with Selina for about 2 and 1/2 hours, then I dropped Naomi off at home. I came here and dinked around for a bit, then got all “pretty.” 🙂 Mitch called just before 4, he’d fallen asleep and was running late…poor guy. Didn’t show up until 4:45, with Andrew and Naomi already here. We booked it to Rotary and had missed the group, but did some nice pictures of us four. It was cool. Driving to the B.C. was an adventure. Mitch was the only one who knew how to get there, but when he tried telling Andrew which exit to take, we missed it because of a huge semi. It was a bit of a mess, but we eventually got there. The group – Andrew, Naomi, Mitch, Rachel, Josh, Paul, Micky, Ben, Alex, Meg, Shane, Val, Ani, Joe, Keith, Kim, Danielle, Derek, Ashley, Pat, and me. 🙂 Quite the crew, eh? We had “blue balls” for Keith and olives. A bread man with legs and burning pepper. Morbid thoughts and how to die. That damn topic of conversation. *glares* Group guy bathroom trips and pins. “Are you getting married?” and the bride smoking in the bathroom. “Hey, Sean!” and bibs for the boys. 🙂 An awesome, awesome dinner. After my date stopped being comatose, that is. 🙂 I’m sorry, I’ll be nice. We went to Micky’s to kill some time before the dance…not before taking a detour to MILWAUKEE! 🙂 Anyway, there’s a CUTE picture coming from Micky’s. The fireplace…with Keith and Kim being adorable. We went to Craig and for the next two and half hours, we just ghetto danced and sang along and played with the streamers and took pictures and enjoyed ourselves. Bumping and grinding to the fast songs and keeping our boy/girlfriends close to us during the slow ones. And enjoying our last homecoming (for most of us, that is) and one of the last big times we’ll be together. I felt safe, happy, secure, and (oddly enough) relaxed. Naomi, Andrew, Mitch, and I left a little early to come back here and get Mitch’s car. We were supposed to go to Diane and Jake’s wedding reception (Erin’s mom). Got there, the people were QUITE drunk. It was hysterical. Stayed for a bit, then came here so I could change, then went to his house he could change. Then we went to Derek’s. It was really fun. Thanks, Derek! From 1:30 to 4 (when I fell asleep), we pigged out, “wrestled,” got back massages, and watched “A Knight’s Tale” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” I saw one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen, a couple being very affectionate that usually isn’t…it was SO sweet. 🙂 I loved it. Anyway, I don’t remember who all was there…a TON of people. 🙂 Awesome. When I woke up at 7, the count wasd down to Derek, Danielle, Mitch, Andrew, Naomi, Josh, Laurie, Aaron, Natalie, Keith, Kim, Yann (how do you spell his name?!)….and I think that’s all. Laurie and Aaron left pretty soon, and until 10, the rest of us watched “The Dick Van Dyke Show” and Sports Center. It was a really cool three hours…seriously. 🙂 After that, Mitch brought me here so I could change (again!), then we went to his house so he could take a shower…we were suppoed to meet at Jody’s for coffee with Andrew and Naomi, but we somehow missed them. So Mitch and I spent the rest of the day zonked out on the couch, watching “TDVDS,” “Lawn Dogs,” reading AP Psych, and being dorks. I had dinner there, that was fun, then he finally got around to starting his applications! Score! We went out to buy cereal for NHS and then I came home. I’m exhausted…but so very happy.

But Corey is miserable. And it’s approaching the one year mark. Next Monday…and we have a choir concert that night, how fucking appropriate. *sigh* I don’t know how to make him happy! He won’t be here for Christmas…I’m going to talk to my parents about being able to go down there. I really need to see him. I’m going nuts…

So happy. Yet so fucking sad…

It was a fun weekend

I’m so glad that you had a great senior homecoming! It’s the best. You will have to come spend the weekend with Katy and I and show us pictures and we will hang out and have a wonderful time. I think that is quite possibly the most grammatically awful sentence that I have ever written. Oh well. Have a good week kiddo. :o)

That seriously was the best weekend i’ve ever had…
