8/25

I know I’ll kick myself if I don’t keep track of what I’ve done lately…*sigh* So here it is.

Friday was a hard day at school. My body still isn’t ready to get up at 6 a.m. Marching is SO early and we don’t usually begin this quickly. But the parade is next Monday. The frosh still can’t march. But the woodwinds (clarinets/flutes) keep me amused because we always end up in these crazy patterns. Bascially all we did was do these “mark time 4, forward 8, left 8, right 8, etc” things. Incredibly boring. Whatever.

Spanish was cool because Senora talked about our diaries and I’m really picking up everyone’s name. The Student Council members (Cat and Laura in that hour) had to go down to the office. People TP’d last night and the members had to clean it up during a double lunch. I don’t see anything wrong with TPing. As long as you don’t leave a mess and no gets hurt or anything, cool. You have to look it as a better alternative then drinking and all that shit. But some dumb people (purportedly not associated with the TPers) vandalized the FFA greenhouse sign. That’s way out of line (in my, and hopefully everyone’s, opinion). So we’re all going to be under an eagle eye for a while. Why do stupid people have to go and ruin things for other people? I get so annoyed by stupid people.

2nd hour was another lecture, but I find her so completely enthralling that I didn’t mind. Oh, kinda funny note – I went to the library after school to get Pere Gordot and I could only find a version in French. 🙂 I’ll have to talk to her about that…

Band was pretty bad. We talked a bit, played Intonation Motivation (which I still can’t play to save my life), and then Rush wanted to know if we knew who had done the spray painting. So the rest of us just had to sit on our asses (Myra and I just bitched to each other about the psycho junior clarinets…about the junior band members in general, except for a select few) while Sheryl, Ally, Jeremy, and Brandon talked to him. We ran through Louie, Louie quickly, and then class was done.

*sighs disgustedly* What a waste.

Gym was still more talking and stuff, nothing terribly interesting. Just got some more senior pics – Myra, Chelsi, oh, and I’d gotten Coop’s in AP Eng.

For lunch, Val, Danielle, Emily, and I went to Pizza Hut. It was an average lunch, relaxing and entertaining. We noticed Aaron’s car had been moved (found out it was by Issy!). We also discussed the downfalls of green peppers and mushrooms. 🙂 My friends are the best.

Genetics rocked, as usual. We talked about the worksheet from Thursday. We also learned how twins, triplets, and other multiple births occur. Then the class discussed mutations. I’m so psyched about this.

In 6th hour, we sounded so amazing. It’s the coolest thing. Honestly, it’s about 100 times better than last year…and we’re only 3 days into the year! How insane. Did 3 new songs. 🙂 Awesome. *Note – Spots tryouts are on the 10th of September*

In AP Psych, we played the fork and spoon game (that was cool), introduced ourselves (Keegan’s story was GREAT *dripping with sarcasm*), and got a T/F worksheet to do over the weekend. I might dive into the book tomorrow. It looks cool. I’m talking a lot to Marissa and Steph, which is cool. I’ve known Marissa forever but I’ve never had a class with her. So now I get a chance to get to know her. That rocks.

After school, we had a CRAZY awesome drama meeting. I wore a sock puppet. 🙂 There were a ton of people there, a lot of freshman, which rocked. Erin was there, cool! I talked to Elsbernd afterwards, OK’d my doctor’s appointment on September 27th (I’ve had it made for 6 months, I’m NOT canceling it) and checked about lessons. It’s all going to work out. Solid. Scott came in, yay. 🙂 Oh, and Derek was there, too.

I took Sara home, and then ran to the library. I called Mom to tell her I was running late, and she told me…the computer had arrived. 🙂 SOLID. So I rushed home and started playing with it. I had to leave at 6:15 to get Sara, and we met a bunch of people at Cozy Inn. Let me see – Naomi, Ani, Meg, Jane, Rachel, Val, Chris, Christine, Matt, Kristine, Sara, Erin, Bryce, and Andrew made up the dinner group. Had yummy crab rangoon and a margarita. Made Rachel test it. 🙂 We all “tested” Naomi’s lemonade…sour! Crazy. Just a fun, goofy meal. Val and I congratulated ourselves on planning the outing. 🙂 We’re nuts.
