Story time …

So let me tell a little story since I am at work, everything required is done (and some extra things I took initiative with) and I still have 2 hours till I clock out.

HIM: "Man! You are a sight for sore eyes."

HER: "Awe, aren’t you sweet. Aren’t you supposed to be asleep since you have to work in a few hours?"

HIM: "Nope, we have tomorrow off."

HER: "Can’t complain about that." 

fixes himself a cup of coffee … walks back over to the counter … stares at her while sipping on coffee … 

HIM: "I could get used to seeing your beautiful face every morning."

HER: "Are you drunk?"

HIM: "No. Why would you say that?"

HER: "No reason. Just figured you must be to say something like that."

HIM: "Nope. I’m as sober as sober can be."

she proceeds to ignore him since she can’t deal with the awkwardness of his words …

his Buddy enters the room … 

BUDDY: "Good morning."

HER: "Mornin’! Can’t sleep either?"

BUDDY: "Something like that."

HIM: "That’s my Girl right there. The one I’ve been telling you about."

BUDDY: "She the one you were suppose to cook dinner for the other night?" … reaches across counter to shake her hand …

BUDDY: "Nice to finally meet you."

HER: "Nice to meet you too."

she looks at HIM & raises one eyebrow …. 

phone rings … 

HER: "One moment please and I will look that information up for you." … lays phone down on desk

HER: "Goodnight Fella’s. Sleep good." … pretends to be looking info up in computer system

elevator doors close

HER: "Sorry about that."

CO-WORKER: "No problem. Just calling to let you know I made it home so you can tell Joleen to stop worrying."

HER: "Ok, will do. … Thanks for calling when you did. … Goodnight."
