The craziness is only getting crazier! LOL

16 days till we move to Kansas.

20 days till Hubby goes back to work and I can go back to some sort of a normal life. God I hate not being in my normal routine! I feel so off. I need for life to go back to normal. I need him to go back to work lol.

So the termite report came back today. No termites! Yay! One less headache to deal with.

The Radon test came back positive. Which means radiation was present in the house. Are you freakin’ kidding me? Ugh! According to the test, you are allowed a score of 4.0 or less to pass and not need anything done. The house we are buying scored 4.5. So that means some company has to go in, install some sort of mechanism to remove said radiation and prevent the house from failing a Radon test again in the future. Said mechanism runs roughly $1200. The Seller agreed to pay up to $900 so we have to pay the rest. I was so frustrated with the Realtor today. I told her it feels like we are buying a broken house! I even threw in, "And yet the seller said a 20 year old house doesn’t need a home warranty! I bet she wished she had one now!!" The Seller is now up to $1575.00 in out of pocket expenses plus $2000.00 they will pay in closing costs. Thank God that’s not out of our pockets!

Cable company called today to transfer the cable. Yep, you read that right. They called me … to cancel and transfer our service. Apparently the next occupants of this house was trying to schedule an install but the cable company’s records indicated service was already here. Gotta love the military! We aren’t even out of the house yet & they already have it rented out to the next family lol. Oh, and kudos to the cable company for trying to end our service before we are ready also lol. Anyway, the cable company can’t do the install at the new house in Kansas till the 24th. Which means I will be stuck in a house with no cable, no Internet with Hubby and The Child from Sat. till Monday morning. I won’t survive. I will not survive at all! Hubby started whining about not (possibly) being able to do his school work (he has an online college class but won’t know what work needs to be done that week until 16th) and wanting to see if we could get the cable installed on the 21st even though we don’t move in till the 22nd. I told him no, I am not going through the headache of having to have new contracts drawn up and have to be emailing back & forth re-signing everything. Instead I gave him 3 options: 1) stay an extra night or 2 in the hotel so we’ll have cable & Internet 2) just go to the library or another wi-fi hot spot to do his homework on my laptop 3) get one month service for the iPad so he could do his homework on that. He’s decided to go with option 2 and go ahead and get option 3 for The Child which translates into him wanting to be able to check his Facebook also. I have 3G on my iPhone so I can make do with that for the weekend. As long as I have access to my Facebook and Yahoo Messenger I’m good to go. It sucks not being able to play my FB games but I have enough games on the iPhone to tide me over. And I have my Nook. And I plan on painting anyway so it is a moot point. He’s also looking into getting a cable to connect the iPad to the tv so we can watch tv via the iPad on the tv. Whatever makes them happy and keeps the bitching from the both of them to a minimum, I’m all for! LOL

MIL sent me a message on FB to let me know she bought the tickets today. Finally! She wants me to call her after Hubby goes to bed so she can discuss it with me. I’m assuming that means FIL is still coming also since she doesn’t want Hubby around to hear the conversation. I only hope she has good news. I only hope her plans don’t end up screwing with mine because I really have no room to add in screw ups. Just about every second from the 12th through the 21st is taken up. I’ve managed to schedule in a few hours of sleep and 2 minutes here & there for pee breaks so if I have to give up any of those 2 items, well, I’ll be mad LOL. I can go days without food (I did that with the move from SC to here back in Dec/Jan) as long as I have Starbucks. And I WILL have Starbucks! LOL I’ve already laid down that law! Since we are moving to a town that the closest Starbucks to it is 50 miles away, well, I’m going to get my fill of them before we go. Y’all know I don’t play with my Starbucks! LOL But, we shall see what she has to say when I call her in a couple of hours.

I have more to write about, something of a more personal nature. But I’m going to give it a couple more days and if it doesn’t change, then I will write about it. I’m trying to not let it bother me right now but it’s hard. So we’ll see what tomorrow brings …
