Falling Faster

I remember you telling me something about how your therapist tries to help you see that relationships aren’t all about you. Sweetie, I know you’re hurting, this just sucks. He just wasn’t in the same place as you, he didn’t share your feelings. It’s probably not that he didn’t want to, probably not even about you, just something that on an emotional level for him, there was a mismatch. Itsucks but it’s time to admit that this isn’t about you, he’s doing what he needs to. I wish you would do what you need to. You don’t need to bring this much hurt on yourself. Break ups are horrible. When you love someone that doesn’t just go away. I know that well, I held a torch for someone for years. I get mad at myself to this day that I didn’t allow myself to get over him a lot sooner. There’s nothing wrong with loving him, but the pain is something you do not deserve to put yourself through. You are worth it, and you will meet someone that feels the same way. You deserve more than someone that can’t return the same feelings.
