Father’s Day

is just another day around here. I haven’t spoken to or seen my father for about 14 years. His loss. I’m over it. 🙂

Today, Eric and I went for a walk down the trails. I didn’t even know where the trails went and I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful it was. We walked 7 km. There was a beautiful breeze and the sun was peeking through the trees. Such a perfect day 🙂

We saw a deer and 3 horses on the trail. The deer was just standing so still staring at us. I love mother natures creatures.

Sorry the pics are shitty. I took them with my blackberry. This guy was trying to turn his horse around so that it could go for a drink in the creek. They were plowing through the trees like nothing.

I was a little pissed off and grossed out though. On our way back we had to dodge horse shit. Big fat clumps of it. I think if you have an animal that shits in public you should be made to clean it up. Nasty. Especially on the trails where people walk, ride and run.

I made chicken shish kabobs for dinner. They were tasty.

That’s all for now. I’m tired and am going to watch telly.

I hear ya, I talk to my Dad but not often. We have a strained relationship. And Matt’s Dad? Well, let’s not even go there. It has been almost a year since we’ve talked to him.. like you said, his loss! I hope your hubby had a great Father’s Day, however! I love mother nature creatures too, just not when they run out in front of you on the road = p

Yum chicken shish kabobs 🙂

Aww thank you for all the love. Yeah I think he’s pretty cute too lol. We need to get more pictures of us together while I’m pregnant. Perhaps in some nicer clothes lol. I think that’s our first pic. Mom apparently has one from Christmas but I haven’t seen it. I have been reading of ladies going into labour the day before their induction. I wonder if it is because they are more relaxed? I dunno

Thought I noted this entry but obviously I’m an idiot. I love seeing deer. I love how they really do have a “deer caught in the headlights” expression when you come upon them. I wonder if they think they are invisible if they stay really still lol. I agree, the horse people should pick up their crap. Sounds like a nice day, a nice father’s day 🙂
