Then and Now

At the beginning of 2005

 

I weighed at least 252 lbs

My BMI was 47.6. (extremely obese)

I couldn’t cross my legs for more than a minute without them hurting

I couldn’t walk ½ a block without pain in my back

I would eat fast food at least 4 times a week.

I wore a size 24 pant

3 xl top (or more to cover my ugly stomach and fat ass)

My bike collected dust

The only pants I owned had elastic waistbands

I was ashamed to go out in public but not afraid to go to the drive through

My waist probably measured in at 48 inches or more

My hips probably measured 52 or more

I had no energy and would rather sit home than go out

I drank 4+ cans of diet coke a day

At the end of 2005

I weighed 152. Currently 150.

My current BMI is 28.3. (overweight) That is a difference of 19.3 J

I am able to cross my legs at any give time without pain. It’s quite comfortable J

I walk at least 2 miles a day on the treadmill.

I haven’t eaten fast food in over 365 days. I don’t consider a grilled chicken sandwich from Wendy’s fast food but if you do then I’ve eaten it once in 365 days. LoL

I can fit into pants ranging from size 9 to size 13 depending on the make

I wear a large or medium shirt depending on make and fabric

I am not ashamed of who I am anymore. I do not have to hid behind a fat body, I am me and I like me.

The only drive through I attend anymore is Tim Horton’s for hubbies decaf coffee. I don’t eat at Tim Horton’s either.

My waist is now 32.5

My hips are still big lmao

I have more energy now than I had when I was my daughter’s age. She’s 17. I can outrun her. Go me

I don’t drink soda pop anymore. Water or green tea is my choice of beverage.

 

These are just a few of good things that are a result of losing 100 lbs. I can not “weight” to be at my ultimate goal of 125.  Only 25 more pounds to go. I can’t believe only 25. That seams surreal after being obese all my adult life it seems.

Thank you to ALL my favourites who have left supportive notes. Although they may just seem like notes they are so much more than that. It’s nice to know people care and are genuinely happy for others. I don’t think I would have kept up this diary if it weren’t for the support I’ve received. I really appreciate it.

I’ve been asked a lot lately about posting a pic of before and after. I promise I will. I still feel so fat though and don’t want people to think OMG she is still fat. I KNOW THIS lol.  Anyway I will in the near future post a before and after picture on FAVOURITES only. If you’re reading and have me on your favs list I wanna know so I know who will be lurking at the pics. I’m a lil paranoid  but not much LOL

you’re on my favs! i want to see! I’ve lost about 90lbs and I know exactly where you’re coming from and I weigh 150 so you are definitly not still fat at 150!!! but I know what you mean I sometimes still feel fat and my goal is about 130 and i’m working on it lol I bet you look amazing!

Go you! You are truly an awesome inspiration. Do you find yourself being more critical of your body now than you were before? I’ve just lost 70lbs with 8lbs to my goal of 120 (I am 5’2). I weigh 128 but I am WAY more critical of myself than I was at close to 200. I almost feel fatter now than I did then! What gives?

Im really happy for you. You are truly an inspiration. I know ive said this 2u a million times, but youve just shown all of us with this struggle that it IS possible. The before and after the lost is such a change, not just a change in you, but in your habits. Breaking habits is the hardest part to me. Fast food=the devil! Hope you have a great week. Youre so strong minded youll def make ur goals!

i am now in my 8th day of exercising. i try and do 40-an hour worth of cardio, split up and in between ,weights… and i love it. i feel so much better and i cut out sodas also! so, im proud of you! you are my inspiration… i feel that if everyone has will power, so can i. and you certainly do! keep it up. i love hearing wonderful stories about weightloss, makes me want to do it! and i will!
