Life is Good

 I arrived in VA on Thursday August 2nd. Friday August 3rd I signed a lease after looking at multiple apartments and houses. I am the renter of an adorable 3 bedroom, 1 bedroom house that is 20 minutes from work and 4 miles from Mike. I am using one bedroom as my own, one as an office and one as a guest room in case anyone ever visits me. I bought a new couch, love seat, and bed. The rest of my furniture I bought used. I drove all over town and found quite a few used furniture places and chose pieces I really adore. I have bought a few decorations for my office; it’s American themed.

Mike has been more thoughtful than I ever imagined. He drops anything and everything to help me move furniture, put up blinds and curtains etc. I am completely in love with everything he has been and has done to show me he cares. His friends and his family have welcomed me as part of his life and part of their lives. They are helpful, caring and concerned for my well being.

In addition to to all Mike has done, he has been amazing to me as a boyfriend. We have not discussed our title or status but everyone else calls us "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" when referring to the other one (awkward sentence as usual. I am truly happy, truly content in life. I am excited for work and not nervous at all to begin orientation this coming Tuesday.

I am not sure why I have come back to write the past two time. I am finally feeling stress free, hopeful, optimistic and just truly happy. My soul is singing. Hell, I sing in the car and in the house and anyone who truly knows me knows I have not sang a day in my life except children’s songs before the past week.

Life is good.
