Wedding Weekend
It’s already Wednesday but I still haven’t written about the weekend in Indiana.
It was really nice to spend the weekend with Justin and Nichole. The drive over from Columbus to Indiana was about 4 hours each way. It gave us lots of time to get caught up.
The wedding was very enjoyable. Excellent organ music for 30 minutes before the ceremony. It was like going to a concert. The reception had a baseball theme since both Lindsey and her hubby, Brad, are big fans. Cookies decorated like baseballs on the table, Cracker Jacks in paper bags, Brats and Hot dogs, nachos, served in chipboard trays just like at the ball park. Oh, and kegs of Old Style. (I had my fair share and Justin had more than he should have). The DJ was very good and we danced a lot. A good time! Randy made a nice speech at the dinner and I felt honored that he mentioned several people who had traveled quite a ways to attend. I think weddings are special and I think the world of them. I wouldn’t have missed it.
Diane didn’t sleep too well Saturday night. Too bad. She did get some sleep in the car on the way home.
On Sunday morning we went over to Randy and Kelly’s. We took a nice ride on the pontoon boat and looked at the wildlife. As much as I liked the party Saturday night, I enjoyed the quiet time with them even more. They have a beautiful place on the lake. A little piece of heaven.
We got back late on Sunday night so I felt a little rushed but I had Monday evening and Tuesday evening to get grounded at home again.
I’m on the road in Wilmington, NC for 1 night then back home tomorrow. Looking forward to a full weekend at home and getting the kayak and bike out.
Namaste
Sounds like a lovely time!

Heh! I live in Louisville, KY and my parents currently reside in Wilmington, NC! Small world, huh? Stop by Wrightsville or Carolina Beach when you are down there! 🙂
