Kelly’s Cancer Update

I spoke Randy last night. Kelly got her 2nd chemo treatment on Friday and had a rough weekend. She’s better now and they spent the day out on the lake on the pontoon boat. The weather was good and it lifted her spirits some. She has lost all of her beautiful, reddish hair.  Randy is really having a tough time with this. He tells me that the chances are not good. Survival rate beyond 5 years is only about 25%. One of the things I like about Randy is that he is very open and not afraid to talk about how he is feeling. He got pretty choked up a couple of times and it’s very hard to comfort someone over the phone.

Kelly’s chemo is every 3 weeks on Fridays. She isn’t much into company those weekends so we need to plant our visit accordingly. They’re heading to Florida for a week Sept 17 which is the same day we drop Justin off at college. We made tentative plans to visit at the end of Sept. or early October.

I really feel for both of them and don’t know how to help.

Any advice out there?

Peace and Love to all

Ernie

Sorry to read about the difficult time you are going through. I guess one thing you can do is call alot an djust listen to what they have to say. I also like to send cards or little gifts.
