Big Letdown

Sorry I haven’t written in a while. The holidays are pretty much the only time I really get to spend with my whole family, so I took advantage of that every moment I could! Plus my dad’s been home since Xmas eve, and will be home until Monday, so the computer has been busy. Well, computers… Plus computer problems with new hardware and the network being down… ugh. It was terrible! Ok… enough excuses!

I worked till 6:40pm on Xmas eve! I got to tell people they couldn’t come in the store after we closed at 6pm. That was cool! One lady got really upset, but I didn’t care! It was funny.

I got what I wanted for Xmas. A CD player for my car, a suede jacket, and the Lilo and Stitch DVD. I also got a sugar and creamer set that looks like cows… it’s cute! Everyone loved their gifts. There was soooo much under the tree this year! It was all sprawled out in front of the couch and loveseat.

I went and got my FL driver’s license on Tuesday. And I also tried to get my plates, but when they pull my title up in their computer system it says it’s still a FL title. When I moved to PA I was under the impression that it was rewritten for PA. So I had to call them the bank to have them fax a copy of the title to the tag office. But it would take 24-48 hours. So I need to call them to find out if they go it. If it is a FL title then I can put my old plate on the car. If it’s not, then I have to register for new plates…

New year’s eve was nice. We had shrimp cocktail and watched the ball drop at midnight. We toasted with sparkling grape juice! It almost tasted like actual champagne… but not quite! I had to work @ 7am the next morning so I went to bed right after that.

On to the big letdown… I am pissed at my job right now. I signed up for a dept. manager position, had my interview and everything. It was for the housewares dept… the dept manager was stepping down to become the comp shopper for the store. Well, things looked good for me. Until she decided she didn’t want to step down because she’d have to work Sundays. BOO HOO! So I was informed this morning that I was the pick for the job, but since she didn’t step down, there was no job. I was happy that I was actually picked. But pissed at the same time. The woman had stepped down! Interviews to fill the job were conducted, and a replacement had been decided upon. Then she can go and change her mind and nothing else matters?!? Thw assistant apologized to me, and told me that she didn’t agree with the store manager’s decision, but there was not much she could do. She told me to keep trying… She was really impressed with me!

So anyways… my family and I went to see The Two Towers again yesterday. This time we went to Downtown Disney to the nice theatre! We had lunch at Wolfgang Puck’s and shopped around for a little bit. It was nice. I really enjoy my family.

I’m gonna go get a snack and watch the news or something. Later!
