Shit night cos the fun was elsewhere

 I had an interesting night out last night.  Well, the whole day was really.

That afternoon I went and met up with my friend on the southside to check out his new place.  It was good to see him again, and he has a pretty cool little place underneath another part of the house, but it’s nice and cosy.  The roof was a little low for me, but that’s because I’m 191cm, so i juuust cleared the lower ledges on the ceiling lol, but I had to dodge the lightbulbs 🙂
We went and grabbed a pub-meal, and I was a little embarrassed when my card declined lol, but it’s because I’d popped into City Beach on the way to buy a new necklace, since I disappointingly realised mine was broken before I left the house, so I grabbed one on the way because I was heading straight from my friends place to another friend’s party.

Anyway, I transferred money on my phone (thank-heavens for technology these days) and all was good.  Turns out I was short by 30 cents lol.  I transferred a fair bit over though so that Icould get some cash out for the night ahead.

We went back to my mates and he put a German movie on, with subtitles, about the difference between east and west germany.  I ended up quite enjoying it, although I haven’t seen a foreign film in quite some time.  My friend hasn’t been back from Europe for long, so he was telling me all about some of his adventures and how he almost got arrested in Germany lol.  Gee that’d be scary – getting arrested in a foreign country where you hardly understand the language, but all was good.

It worked out well because my friend was also heading into the city for dinner, so he offered me a lift.  He was kind enough to stop off at a corner store so that I could buy a scratch-it ticket, as I am a hopeless last-minute gift buyer for my friends.

I did actually write a whole entry, but OD decided to shut down completely as soon as I hit save, and it only recovered the above bit 🙁

In a nutshell, I caught up with my friend Tash who I hadn’t seen in 5 years, got hit on by a 41yo guy at the Beat, and I didnt get to go to Fluffy afterall because the drag queen lied about the draw being at 2am, when in fact it was 3am, and therefore because of the 3am curfew lockout, noone could go anywhere else, so the night ended up being a bit shithouse, for me anyway 🙁  Missed hanging out with my friends because I was trying my luck elsewhere.  Ahhh well.  Such is life.

I have my follow-up dental appointment tomorrow.  Ergh lol.  Get it over with I guess.
