Cos I like, soooo know about footy and all.

 One of my cousins does the same job I used to do – at a servo that is.  Last night she got held up with a knife.  Happened around 10:15pm.  I only found out about it because I got this message from my mother on facebook telling me to be careful (which she likes to send from time to time – bless her), even though I’ve lived here for 10 years lol.  I thank my lucky stars that never happened to me.  Anyway, my cousin is fine, and she followed procedures and the wanker was caught a short time later.

Tonight I had to work, like I do every weekend.  Tonight especially I was annoyed because both Parklife AND Riverfire were on.  I heard the fighter jets fly over whilst I was at work 🙁  I was more disappointed that a few of my friends got to see Robyn perform live at Parklife, which, well would have been surreal for me.  But alas, not to be.  I even spent a portion of last night looking up how much flights to Sydney were, as Parklife is down there on Sunday (now today as I type this), but $200 each way plus a $200+ ticket – yeah no.  Dammit!
I’ve yet to look up other cities when their Parklife dates are.  Monday here is a public holiday, and I’ve agreed to do a 5pm til 2am shift.  It’ll be good money yay.  One good thing about leaving the servo is I now actually get decent public holiday rates.  I was also asked if I wanted to work Sunday (today), but after some hesitation I said no.  They don’t really need me, just have money to spend.  Probably should have said yes, but meh I like my days off.  There’s a replacement 2IC at the moment, who I’m still warming up to, who’ll be on tomorrow, so yeah 😛

Today seemed to drag on.  I just wanted the shift to end.  It was probably because I know I wanted to be elsewhere.  How awesome of an experience would it have been to be at Parklife whilst the jets fly over and the fireworks went off.  Not only that, apparently it’s a full moon too.  I once again took clothes to work to change into, in case I wanted to go out, but was scared off by the massive crowds that would be out tonight.  Drunk people scare me.  I ended up coming home and passing out asleep, waking up a few hours later and now typing this, for some reason.

I made a bid on a video camera on ebay, but I got outbid on it whilst at work 🙁  Damn work!  Sold for a good price too.  I’m not too worried.  It’s the same one I was looking into about two years back or so, when I decided to get my phone instead.  It would be awesome for doing video entries, not that I ever know what to talk about it them when I post them here 🙂  It’s funny cos when I woke up this morning, I couldn’t remember if I’d made a bid on it or dreamed that I did, but my email confirmation said otherwise.

I also did something I never do.  I BETTED on the NRL grand final match tomorrow.  Haha!  Like, cos I totally know my shit about football and all – NOT!  We’ll just wait and see how it pans out.  I’ll probably lose my money lol.  I think I was attracted to it because of the promo – I get my money back if the margin is 6 points or less – so thought why not have a go.  Usually I only bet on Melbourne Cup day – if that.  I never bet much, so not to worry.

Day off today now 🙂  Should be relaxing hopefully.  Stupid work, stupid Riverfire, stupid Parklife posting photos of how it looked tonight, lol.

 

Apparently Rhys’ birthday party was tonight also.  Great, another thing I missed!  I love Rhys – he’s like friends with everyone.
