Appealing JD

LOL – I just called the car clinic to ask (for the fourth time) what the fuck is going on with my car.  I took it there on December 2nd.  It’s is now January 6th.  Yup, well over a month.  The guy who answered the phone knew straight away about which car was mine, which was impressive, and said they had a bit on before Christmas, but at least I have a quote so far.  I had to know.  He said they’ve worked two hours on it so far.  Two hours in a month and six days.  Christ almighty.  But he told me it’s running better but it still idles roughly when you pull up at traffic lights (which it’s always done) and that they will call me when they’ve figured out what that is.  So far I am up for $220, which is fine by me – he says it’s drivable, which is clearly wasn’t before I took it there.  I’m expecting the cost to be towards a grand, depending on what needs to be done to fix the idling.  Two hours – LOL.  All I can do is laugh.  I feel stupid calling a business four times to check up on my vehicle and not have them call me once.  It always feels as though they are pulling my leg.  If they’ve worked on my car for two hours so far… does that mean it’s been sitting in storage for the other – *gets calculator* – 886 hours?  I have a current quote, so that’s calmed my mind a fucking lot.  Each time I ring, they tell me what the progress is, so they aren’t completely hopeless.  But I’ve just never heard of a mechanic keeping a car for as long as mine’s been there.  Every other mechanic has had it back to me easily within three days.  Ah well, no point in going on about it.

Not sure if I mentioned it, but I’ve been summoned for jury duty.  Again.  I must have been selected from the second ballot.  My workmates and my parents reckon they’ve never had to do jury duty in their life, so apparently I’m the first in the family to be called for it.  Except that it’s the worst timing ever 🙁  They need me from January 30th until February 12th, 9:15am until 5:15pm at the Brisbane Law Courts (funny tangent to do with that – the 18yo from yesterday – his mum is a bailiff there, so I may even meet her :P).  I need to be in Melbourne the weekend of February 3rd til 5th for the paint party.  FUCK! 

I’m trying to get out of it.  I’ve asked my boss to write me a letter stating why I can’t do it – reasons being I work graveyard shifts, and if I do jury duty (9:15am til 5:15pm) and then work (9pm til 5am), it will mean literally no sleep for two weeks solid and I will probably collapse as I’m reading out the dirty fucking criminal’s verdict, although hopefully i wouldn’t have to do that 😛  Also, I’ve asked my boss to state in the letter that I am employed casually, and the pissweak $30 a day they give you in the courts is hardly enough to make up for what I will have lost by not attending work.  It just seems completely inconvenient to me, at this point in my life.  I mean, the idea of doing it, IF I had a full time or part-time day job that I could just apply for leave from, AND if this weekend away wasn’t all organised and paid for (flights, tickets, accomodation), THEN sure, I would love to do jury duty.  In fact, I’ve heard it’s an eye-opening experience, as I wouldn’t know the first thing about law other beyond what the police do for a living.  I wouldn’t know the difference between a barrister, a solisitor and a lawyer lol!  Haha I almost wrote ‘barista’ then.

So, as long as my boss isn’t lazy (Anne said she will ask our invoice lady to do it, as she’s better at writing letters), I should be able to get that tonight when I go to work.  Then I’ll write my letter and attach that letter and post it off on Monday.  I have Monday off so that’ll be good.  I need to cash in a few cheques anyway.  It’s so weird cashing in cheques – it seems so 90’s!

Speaking of nineties…. haha, gotta love the segway…. I get a message on my phone from my second boyfriend from many years ago, who hardly ever messages me, that read, "I hope you’re sitting down and holding onto something… because AQUA are coming to Brisbane on March 8th!!"  Okay, I’ll admit it – I pretty much squealed hahaha.  I am SUCH a faggot!  LOL.  Aqua’s ‘Aquarium’ album was the first album I ever bought as a kid.  "Barbie Girl", "Doctor Jones’ ‘My Oh My’, ‘Turn Back Time’ and the amazing ‘Calling You’ off the first album and then "Aquarius" omg what an amazing second album with ‘Around The World’ and ‘Cartoon Heroes’ and my favourite I used to play full-bore, "Halloween" (but that one wasn’t released).  I used to even do my hobbie I still do today back then when I was a kid – except I used to write it all out on paper and had a points system so that even I didn’t know what the number 1 was going to be.  Fucks me how I did it but i loved doing it at like age 14 or however old I was, and I still do charts today at double that age.  How depressing haha.  Of course I go on and off them over the years but I’m doing a pretty good run at the moment.  Anyway, of course, Aqua were always up the top of the chart back in the 90’s, amongst the Celine and the Savage Garden.  How my parents didn’t see me as a flaming, raging, rainbow throwing homosexual back then, I’ll never know.  So yes, tickets go on sale on Monday.  They are playing at the same venue that the Vengaboys are playing at in a few days time, and as far as I know it’s only a small venue in West End somewhere!  I’ve never been there.  I posted this on facebook at work once I found out lol

I’m pretty sure that concert is going to be an entire sausage-fest of queer guys, with maybe the occasional girl thrown amongst the mix.  All I can say is she’d better be a faghag cos this band is going to be competing with Kylie in terms of who puts on the gayest concert 🙂  Who knows, there may well be a mixed crowd!
Of course, once news spread, my whole newsfeed was all little gay boys posting about how excited they were – please, they must’ve been like 5-9 years old when they first released ‘Barbie Girl’!  Even I was a pedophile’s dream back then 😛  Well actually no, I was a fugly kid 🙂  Anyway, the point is I must get tickets before these other gays do cos I feel like I deserve them more! 😛

Now that I’ve completely out-gayed myself, I’ll admit that I’m STILL obsessed with Madonna’s song "Masterpiece" – I simply can’t stop playing it and being in love with the lyrics.  Ohhhhh, who know the old bat could still move me?  I think it’ll be in my top 10 come Monday.

I think that’s all.  We’ve got a whole heap of Daryl Lea rocky road chocolate at work that the staff can take home because we get credits on it, soI posted to my friends to co me get some if they want it.  I got two texts from friends asking me to keep them some.  I thought it was funny that reading something on facebook resulted in me getting SMS’s for their orders.  Dan (horny Somoan hottie few streets over) wanted white choc so I put some in my bag for when I see him next.  My friend Matt was actually out at pancakes and came to my work on his way back home haha.  I found it surprising he was with his ex, but I guess they are still friends.  I gave them a bag full of chocolate goodies.  There’s still a heap left at work.  I only ate a packed of choc peanut brittle, which is soooo yummy.  I shouldn’t have as it’s no good for me, but meh 😀
