The Story

 

The above song was probably my favourite song of 2007.  I remember it being on the radio as I drove to work at Chermside (or ‘Spermside’ as I like to call it) Woolies, where I used to work back then.  It was on quite often and I couldn’t wait to get home and download it, which I did.  I’m sure it’s in my mp3’s somewhere, but I don’t seem to listen to my mp3’s much anymore – it’s pretty much all Youtube videos, which is hell on my data limit, and consequently the reason I owe Vodafail $212 for going over last month 😛  Whoops.
Anyway, I was surprised to find out there’s not only a live version of this uploaded in 2009, but this music video which was only uploaded a few months ago.  Score!  Reminiscing on four-year old music is cool 🙂

I remember watching television one day and this chick was on one of those lifestyle shows in the USA, singing this exact song.  I remember thinking, ‘This ISN’T your song bitch!’, although she did nail it 🙂  And it was good to hear the song again.  It’s piled into the ‘Classic Music’ pile for me personally, along with ‘Life’ by Des’ree (considered to be my ALL-TIME favourite for many years), and a pile of other songs I’m too ashamed to admit for criticism for being the flamy-est fag that ever did flame 🙂  Besides, with all the divas out there it’d take me fucking forever.

I had a horrible dream last night.   Supposedly in this dream, a guy who I know of but have never met, ran up to me to tell me that I needed to have an STI test done because it was evident that I had an STI.  I was terrified!  The only thing I know about this guy is he plays the same game I play on facebook and isn’t even gay I don’t think lol!  The dream really made no sense, but it wasn’t quite a nightmare either.  I do remember waking up and thinking, ‘Thank FUCK that wasn’t real!’

Got through my pay-fortnight at work.  I worked out that I did 50 hours this week 🙁  I dunno how you 60-70 hour a week people do it.  I’m craving for a day off!!  I get one on Wednesday and am seriously counting down!

My face-plant is still seriously depressing me 🙁  I’m even avoiding my housemates.
