I’m an uncle fifth time round

So three entries in a day – that’s unlike me.  This deserves an entry though.  My little brother and his girlfriend popped out their child into the world today.  They named him Tobie, born at 6:45pm Thursday 23rd June.  So that makes me an uncle again!  For the 5th time now.  My older sister has 1 child (who turns 18 tomorrow!  So I was first an uncle at age 9) and my older brother and his ex-wife have three children, a boy and two girls, and now my LITTLE brother has a little boy.  It was nice to wake up and see the photo on facebook, taken ten minutes after he was born.

I am now the only child in the family yet to pop out a kid!  I think that stands for obvious reason why it hasn’t, as I’m pretty sure I need to sleep with a woman in the first place 🙂  Damn genetics.  But yay!  I can’t wait to meet the little fella!  I haven’t even met my little bro’s girlfriend!  Apparently they are gunna get married so he says.

I wonder what my parents think.  Am I now expected to have a kid?  To tell the truth, the idea of being a dad amazes me.  To bring LIFE into the world?  What better gift is there?
