OD Meet-Up! =)

I was SO excited to see this bitch perform in my home city! 🙂  I’d been waiting two weeks for it since I’d heard she was coming.  She did a free promo concert in the mall, which was nice of her.  The lineup to get her autograph was huge when I got there, so stuff waiting around to get a photo!

I caught up with Billy and met another awesome OD’er Jessica from Melbourne/Canberra.  I forced them to watch Carrie perform with me haha, and then we decided to go to JoJo’s for lunch and a catch up.  What a lovely girl Jess is!  I hadn’t seen Bill in what seems like forever as well.
 

Carrie Underwood.  She performed "Undo It" and I was very glad to see she did "Before He Cheats" as well 😀  Love that song.  I don’t know what the third one was called, but it really show-cased why she won American Idol.

I have a phone that has no zoom function (go figure) on its camera so yeah I had to just take it, hope for the best and then crop it when I got home haha

But yes, they were lovely and it was nice of them both to make the trip into the city.  I didn’t mind where I met up with them, I just wasn’t missing Carrie if it was going to be on the Saturday!  I’m constantly on that Gold Coast train, as anyone who reads me or is on my facebook knows haha.  I should take out shares in that line specifically.  Probably not lately though, it’s been freezing weather!  For me anyway!  I can’t believe the clothes I wore out to meet up with Bill and Jess haha, they were literally all I had – everything else was on the clothes line as I have to hand wash all of my clothes and towels.  It’s quite the effort hand-washing!  Our washing machine is broken for all those of you playing along at home, and the landlord doesn’t want us to get a new one until he gets home in a few weeks apparently, cos he wants to sort it all out.

It’ll be interesting when he does come home.  It’ll change the dynamic of the house.  Neither of the boys have met him yet, and Luke probably won’t since he’s announced he’s moving out.  Luke seems to have a boyfriend now it seems, not that I’ve met whoever the mystery boy is, but he’s never home.  It amazes me how gay guys seem to throw everything in when a boyfriend comes onto the plate.  I hope I never do that.  Not that I’ve had a boyfriend in however umpteen years it’s been.

I had a feeling I was going to get called into work because I missed a call from an unknown number (I hate answering unknown numbers) and it was a voicemail left from one of my workmates saying the night guy had called in sick, so I knew I was gunna probably get called in.  When I was out to lunch with Jess and Bill, that’s when I got a text, yes a TEXT, from my boss asking if I could work and get back to her.  My boss never sends texts!  Haha, oh well, I read it.  I was tossing up whether I wanted to or not because not only would it ruin my three-day weekend, it meant I couldn’t go out and hopefully have a good night out.  So I decided making money was probably better than spending it, and I rang her back when the guys were ordering their meals and asked if she still needed me to do it.  She was thankful because if I couldn’t do it, that means she’d have to haha.

I wasn’t hungry so I didn’t order, as I’d caught up with my friend Lindsay about an hour beforehand and we had a Shingle Inn breakfast of bacon, chipolatas, toast, eggs, mushrooms etc, so I just ordered a drink.  i was waiting for a little while before I got served the first time, and when this gay guy came back he poured me my drink, handed it to me and said it was on the house.  Awww saweet!  I did have dessert though and Billy shouted me a drink later on so that was nice of him.  I hope they had a good time and I wasn’t too boring.  Meeting up with friends during the day is hard for me sometimes but initially this wasn’t that hard because it was a night off, but those plans had since changed and I was now working, so I had to leave them to head home and get some sleep.  By this stage it was 4pm and I was wondering if I should bother as i had to be up by 7pm, but I did get two hours sleep in and my alarm woke me up.  I didn’t feel too tired so I must’ve just snuck in under that nap time before you call into the Rapid Eye Movement (REP) part of sleep.  I read something on it once, only reason I know about that.  They say your going to have a nap, to make it no more than 40 minutes.  I think I’d agree with that.

Work was pretty good actually.  There were a couple of drunks and this one guy swearing all over the place because he was drunk and cabbies wouldn’t take him because he was being abusive, and I saw him slam the door of a cab outside in the forecourt.,  He’d only bought an icecream and was saying ‘Fuck!’ under his breath a bit, but he wasn’t any trouble.  Had a lot of young people in, partyin on the weekend, no-one tried to steal though so it was a relatively good night.  I was glad I’d said I’d work it.  A little extra in the pay this week just before tax time.  That’s how I figured it anyway.

I went to gym in the morning as well.  It was good, only one other guy there.  It was a lot better than the time before i went when there was this HOT AS HELL guy there and I seriously couldn’t even concentrate because my eyes just kept gazing toward his beauty.  I did my workouts but jesus it was difficult.  So much easier when there aren’t hot guys there, which there usually arent.  Why do hot people need to go to the gym anyway?  Seriously!  I only go because I don’t wanna look like a gross stick by the time I hit 30.  i think I’m going okay.  Anyone who saw my facebook video will see I went a little bit silly haha, but I wanted to explain here why I filmed myself at the gym.  Reason for that is I figure I can look at my technique from another perspective if I video myself, so I videoed myself on the bench press and as I was doing my free weights.  Watching them back later on, I was disgusted by how much strain I’m probably putting on my spine without realising it, so instead of a free weight each in each hand, I’ve since changed to the bar free weights so as to keep the weight even across my body.  I think it works a lot safer for my body and I don’t look as unco either!

I was wearing my singlet from work still, because it’s so cold at night having to go outside sometimes to check the dips/meters at 4am, let alone walking home, and I used to wear a long sleeved shirt under my uniform shirt, but apparently they don’t like that, so I’ve changed to a singlet.  My forearms get cold now of course but at least my body is still warm, so when I changed at the gym I just kept it on.

Of course, me being me, I decided it was time to pose for a few photos.  I’m not really game to put them on facebook so I’ll at least put them here.  Haha, what do you guys think of my progress?  I really need a tan happening. It’s so cold at the moment though!!
