I have never really followed Horoscopes, pretty much from being told they are the devil by my parents, being raised as religious as i was when I was younger haha.  However, after living in a house where I am now, where my landlord is ALL about Astrology, I find the hype that’s been created today in the media about this new ’13th Zodiac’ pretty exciting, because I fall smack-bang in the middle of it.

According to my Star Sign, I’ve always been the Archer, the Saggitarrian, however this is now not the case.  I am now Ophiciuchi!  I’ve actually been doing a bit of research on it, and a lot of Astronomers and Astrologists are up in arms about this whole thing, but a lot of people say that’s because it’s a financial reason, and suddenly changing the whole Zodiac to include a 13th sign will just cost too much.

I’m only finding this interesting because my landlord Andrew has never been able to figure me out.  He says that I am the COMPLETE opposite to what a Saggitarrian’s trait’s and personality should be.  He says Saggi’s are wild and out there and have a temper and i can’t even remember what else he said about them haha, but listening to him go on about guys he’s dated in certain signs is sometimes hilarious and always entertaining.  Like for example, he has a habit of dating Libran boyfriends, who are always just after his money in the long run lol.

So reading about this new "Ophiuchus" (beats me how you pronounce it) and that it’s actually been around for the last 3000 years has been very interesting, and since according to the Zodiac chart, I am no longer Saggitarrius, I decided to look up what my new personality traits actually are =)

Ophiuchus: many people are jealous of the success achieved during life, a seeker of wisdom and knowledge, many people envy them, like wandering, flamboyant in dress, likes bright colors, honest, intellectual, sexually magnetic, jealous and prone to change, An Interpreter of dreams, who attracts good luck and fruitful blessings. Inventive in nature, with expanding qualities. will often seek higher education and wisdom and can end up as an overseer, or supervisor of work. Can rise to fame – either grand, or completely misunderstood. Tends to enjoy longevity and has aspirations of healing the ills of man.

Ophiuchus’ soul-mate is a Pisces apparently lol.

I like all of those except the jealous one.  It also goes on to say we usually have large families, but as I’m a flaming homo, I doubt that’s gunna happen.  I do find it ironic that I’m now a ‘Snake handler’ and I like to dress flamboyantly hahaha. 

I do find it weird now though that to be a Scorpio, you have to be born within a certain week of the year, and I realise most people into this stuff completely dismiss this 13th star sign as false and ridiculous.  I just find it entertaining because although I’ve always been Saggitarian, I’ve never fit the traits of it.

I think I’m drawn to the ‘sexually magnetic’ part 😀
