Samoan

I had my two nights off, and I’m back to it, already – God that went fast!

The other night guy rang me yesterday evening around ten to nine and I was freaking out thinking "Am I suppose to be at work!?  I swear I don’t work today!" and I eventually answered as I was still asleep when he rang, because I like to sleep in on my nights off (as ya do), and he just wanted to know if he can swap my Tuesday shift with his Thursday shift.  I said that was cool, but it destroys my three-day weekend.  Oh well, the things you do.  Tuesdays and Thursdays and generally very similar as there’s no load to fill, so it’s usually pretty easy.  So next week I now have Tuesday, Friday and Saturday off – Saturday being for my mate’s wedding.  I really dunno what I’m gunna wear, I don’t own a suit.  The dress-code is semi-formal so I guess black shoes black pants and a nice shirt?  Is that semi-formal?  Haha, I’ve never been good with dress codes.

Fuck it’s gunna be weird seeing him get married.  It’ll be like when I was at his sister’s wedding – it was like seeing two children I grew up with tie the knot.  And now those two have a kid!  It’s crazy!  Soon it will be the same all over again.  Insane.  People grow up too fast, they really do.

I was really nervous at the start of my shift last night.  I even told my workmate I took over from ‘It’s not right to feel nervous in your own workplace’ and she agreed, and said to ring her if anything happened or I didn’t feel right.  She’s lovely like that.  Our manager is on holidays for three weeks, so if we have any problems we have to ring the owner.  Great!  Haha.  I was nervous for the first few hours of my shift, just sure that there’d be another psycho like last Friday’s shift.  I calmed down gradually if I just got my work done and served everyone.  I did have this aboriginal chick in the shop flogging shit – stupid bitch, and I told the copper about it who was in a few minutes later, but he didn’t seem that interested at all.  I guess he has better crime to worry about rather than some coon bitch with no teeth.  Seriously, that’s what she looked like – what teeth she did have were blacked out.  She only flogged a piece of fruit cake and a chocolate bar, but still, if I ever see her again on my shift she’s gunna cop it.  She thinks I didn’t notice, but I sure as hell did.

I got a surprise around 1am when this group of guys walked in.  Of course my immediate thought was ‘Oh boy here’s trouble’ so I resumed my stance and said ‘what’s up fellas?’.  Three of the four guys were of Somoan decent (I’m pretty sure) and were REALLY well built – and shirtless mind you, so they had the awesome natural tanned skin without a blemish in sight – huge chests.  They were just after cigarettes and the guy who wasn’t Samoan flashed me his ID card (born in 1992 feb so he made it) and they were like $2 short and were trying to get me to give it to them for the cheaper price.  I almost paid out of my own pocket for them purely cos they were hot as (and funny and nice guys to boot) but I made up some excuse cos it was cigarettes I needed the full amount – the hottest one then used his card for some and the cash for the rest, and he said if I ever had any trouble they were just around.

They left the store and it really put a smile on my face.  A group of guys who could’ve clearly robbed me or bashed me if they wanted to, were actually really cool guys just out having a good time.  And my GOD their bodies were perfect, they must just like SIT in the gym or something.  I couldn’t help but imagine the girls they’d manage to pull, because you know how Samoan’s are always very confident in their attitudes and stuff – yeah that’s what these guys were like.  I’d never seen em before, so I don’t think they were from around there, but yeah, definitely made my night a lot better, and was nice of him to say he’d look out for me, although I fail to see how lol.

The cops were in when I started my shift, because one of them wanted to view our security footage of two guys I’d served earlier.  They weren’t any trouble to me when I served them, but the cops said they’d had a complaint about them and wanted to see who they were, so I let the cop out the back to view the footage.  It was rather busy at the time so I still had to serve customers, but he figured it out – he found them and thanked me – said they were arab-looking (which they were).  Why are the foreign ones always trying to cause trouble?

I serve a LOT of ambulance officers on my shifts usually and I asked this one guy how his night was and he said he was exhausted – poor fella.  God that’d be a tough job sometimes.  Very rewarding, but you’d probably see a lot of despair also.  I had a strange feeling it may have been one of those nights for him.

The shift went fast though, so that was good.  I caught the bus to work as I intended to go to gym, but after work I really couldn’t be fucked, I just wanted to go home, but buses didn’t start til late (which is the reason I usually GO to gym in the first place so I can kill time til the buses start) but I guess I just wanted my bed.  I walked home, via the bikeway through Southbank – lots of runners and cyclists out at that hour of the morning.

I wasn’t surprised to see people swimming in the artificial beach at Southbank though, as it was a warm night.  I had to take my jacket off as i realised I was sweating by the time I reached Max Brenner at Southbank.  I can’t wait until Max Brenner opens – I always go there when I’m down the coast, so it’s so good to finally see us getting one – it’s a chocolate bar.  I tried one of their Granita’s down the coast and fell in love with it.

I bought some bacon on the way home and had bacon and eggs for brekkie, after my walk – it was yummy, I hadn’t had that in ages.  Then when the shops opened I went and did my groceries.  Can’t BELIEVE how packed the carpark was already at 8am.  I thought I’d get in early before everyone else did – clearly they had the same idea.  I think it’s cos the markets are on as well, which draws a huge crowd.  At least I know not to try to shop there on a Saturday morning again though.  I was lucky to get a park, but it was a dodgy one near a pole, so I had to squeeze my car in – by the time it was done I was on such an angle haha – I wasn’t willing to hit the car next to me OR the pole so I just left it like that – stuff what anyone else thought – I was in the park, but on a huge angle 😛  Made backing out a lot easier though when I was all done!

Boring entry – oh well, I mainly wanted to write about the hot guys.
