Day 14 – Someone you’ve drifted away from

Dear Aaron,

I know I’ve already written to you, but this really needs to go to you too.  I know we both grow up and went different directions, but to feel how I am as a friend now to you, compared to how I used to be, wow, what a difference.  What a major difference.  You have new priorities now, your fiance and marriage on the way.  I’m thankful we are still friends.  Part of me had to wonder how long that thread of string will hold for also, especially when you have a kid or two.
I guess this letter could have been written to anyone I went to school with, but for some reason I guess I wanted to send it to the person who’s friendship I really want to maintain the most.  You know the respect and love I’ve always had for you and how much I appreciate that you’ve accepted me over the years.  Stay near bud, don’t let the driftwood float too far 🙂
