Snapshot Virgin

This is interesting.  I was hanging out with my friend V* in the city today when I got a phone call.  Actually I got about 3 phone calls when I was hanging out with her, which is unusual cos I hardly ever get any haha.  The first call was M*, asking if he could now crash here tomorrow night, which is fine with me, he stays here all the time and is like my best mate, the second was *J* and I was soooo happy to hear from him.  The first thing he said to me was ‘I’ve got a spare Parklife ticket, would you be interested?’

I pretty much screamed.  I was in the pancake manor at the time, just tryna show V* some places she might like to go, and that’s 24 hours so she can go there whenever.  My meal was fine, but unfortunately hers wasn’t that great.  We ordered a mango smoothie which really didn’t taste much like mango at all.  I even asked the waiter to try it and tell me if he thought it tasted okay, but he didn’t want to, so that’s telling me something lol.  I asked for a replacement, and although it was slightly better tasting, it still didn’t quite taste right.  So yeah, taking her there probably didn’t do much with making her want to return.  So yeah I told J* I’d love to, and asked him how he got tickets, and he just said "Because I’m amazing."  Hahaha, god I love that kid.

I was dropping her back to the train station (where I met her when she arrived) and my phone rings again.  It was a number I didn’t recognise, but it was a mobile number, so I answered it.  At first I thought the lady on the phone said she was from "Starmart" which is like where I work but she said "In the Myer Centre" and I had to think there wasn’t one in there.  THEN I realised she said "StarSHOTS". 

I’d won a competition.  Well, I didn’t win it, but I was one of 10 runner’s up.  She really liked my answer I put in for "Why would you like a photographic session with Starshots Photography?"  I couldn’t even remember what I’d written so she read it back to me haha.  I remembered then.  She said I’ll get free hair and makeup (normally worth over a hundred bucks) as well as my choice of a 6×10 or 10×20 photo, all for free.  If I want of course, I am able to choose a package, but I’ve always wanted to choose a package anyway, which is why I entered the competition in the first place, so that I’d be able to pay less of a fee if I won it.  Well I didn’t win, but I still get some cool stuff free.  I’m booked in for 1pm tomorrow.  I’m so excited and yet I’m pretty nervous too.  I’ve never done a glamour/photography session before.

I’m really tired right now as well, but I have to go out to see my friend M* for his birthday.  R* will be there as well so It’ll be good to catch up, and M* is such a little cutie I hardly ever get to see.  He’s funny too – forget how old he’s turning, but it’s at a Salsa bar.  He’s a dancer so of course he’d choose somewhere dancey for his birthday.  I doubt I’ll dance, just turn up and wish him a happy birthday.  I really want to get back here and get a good night’s sleep for my session tomorrow.  I don’t wanna look all raccoon-eyed and feel even worse.  That’ll be just great during a photo sesh.

I asked what I’d need to wear, and she said just to bring some casual clothes and formal clothes if I wanted to.  I don’t really have much to choose from in my wardrobe, but I’ll just bring whatever I think goes I guess.  Ahhh, how exciting.

I also hung out with my friend J* today after V* left to go home.  I bought the new French And Saunders dvd, which I LOVE.  Yeah, I’ve watched it already!  God they are FUNNY women!  Sucks I didn’t get to see their live show when there were here, but I was in the same nightclub as them later on that Sunday night 🙂  I hadn’t seen J* in months, so it was great to catch up!

Well I’d better get ready.  I hope a shower wakes me up a little.  I doubt I’ll go out after now, like I was planning to.  I spose I could turn up to the shoot tomorrow hungover lol.
