Suckin’ Too Hard On Your Lollipop

So it’s Sunday night and I can’t sleep, again.  This is nothing unusual for me, having been the third week i’m into these shitty new hours.  I’ll be really glad when this manager pisses off back to wherever he came from.  I think I did get some sleep, because I remember having thius fucked-up dream earlier on.  It’s 2:40am and usually I haven’t even gone to bed yet at this hour, but Sunday night’s I don’t really have an option, so climbed into bed at around 11:00pm I think?  I think I got some sleep in, so that’s good, although it wasn’t a very peaceful sleep cos of that fucked up dream.  Involved me having diarrhoea on the toilet and then flushing it and the toilet overflowing, whilst I still didn’t feel much better, well I can’t remember if I did, I think I did but felt guilty about all this shit flowing out and over the toilet bowl onto the floor, and I think I just walked off… I mean What The?  What kind of a fucked up dream is that!?   It’s not even a dream or a nightmare, that’s just fucked.  Who the hell even dreams that?  I then tried to decipher the dream when I woke up – does it mean I’ve got that much shit to handle (haha) that’s it’s too much that it overflows in my life?  But that bit that overflowed was just sitting there on the floor – didn’t flush away with the rest of it – does it mean i’m holding onto some that won’t go away?  God I really shouldn’t be going into this this early in the morning – but jesus, I’ve had better dreams I can say that much.

My work hours at the moment are,

Monday: 5am – 3pm

Tuesday: 7pm – midnight

Wednesday: 3pm – midnight

Thursday: 3pm – midnight

Friday: 3pm – midnight

You see, shit hours.  It’s only cos the load comes in at night-time now (which only started happening when this manager started grrr), and I don’t mind the late shifts so much, but it’s this Monday shift that’s got my sleeping patterns WAY out of whack.  I do like having 28 hours off between when I finish Monday and start Tuesday, but even that’s a bit fucked. having to wait til 7pm to start work on a Tuesday.  I do get Monday-Friday but look at it – I finish midnight on a Friday and start 5am on a Monday – it’s like the shortest weekend ever.  I have been asking constantly and bugging my department manager to change the Monday hours to later so that a) I get a HALF decent sleep and b) I get a decent sized-weekend.  It’s because we get a load in on Sunday night, which is like the biggest of the week, but i can’t see why I can’t do it later in the day, so at least my shifts have some structure.  I couldn’t get back to sleep after that dream so basically I’ve decided to just write an entry, do whatever, have some breakfast and get ready to go to work.  My housemate can get fucked if I wake him up.  Ooooo it’s started raining!  What a nice sound.  Rain always helps me sleep, so maybe I’ll go to sleep again, or try to – haha and as I say that the rain stops – musta been a Night Shower (opposite of a Sunshower) – ok well i made it up, it’s a new word ok?

On the weekend I didn’t really do that much, I don’t think, but I wasn’t home.  I did help my mate John move house, which wasn’t too bad at all.  I met one of his new housemates and the house he’s moving into is quite big.  He’ll be living with 2 other guys and a girl I think.  I met one of the guys, who is this dark-skinned dude, whoi was hot!  It was strange for me to be attracted to him as I haven’t really gone for the ebony in the past, but I guess I liked the way he was dressed and he was polite and had a really clear and nice face, like their wasn’t a blemish on him at all.  And you know what they say about black guys *wink* – well he wasn’t really black but he was – like black but not too black and not aboriginal either, so we’ll stick with dark-skinned.  Another guy who turned up was an old guy (probably the guy who owns the place), so I guess John and I both live with old guys.

The new housemate here isn’t too bad.  Like I haven’t seen anything that I don’t like about him yet.  He noticed I had a spare TV in my room and asked if he could borrow it, and I said sure, as it wasn’t being used, it was just sitting there, so it kinda worked out and gave me a bit more space in here.  I dunno if he got it tuned though cos I know I tried and couldn’t get it to.  He then asked if I had any spare AV cables, and after rummaging through my warbrobe I found some and untangled them from the massive knot they were in with all the other cords I have in there (from when I had dial-up and DSL – all the cords I’ve kept in case I ever seen em again).  John gave me some stuff he was gunna throw up on his move so I scored some headphones (so I can watch TV louder at night without disturbing my housemates sleep) and a sensor thingy.  It has yellow plugs on the back so now I’m regretting lending the AV cable to my new housemate cos I’ll probably need it!  The chances of me having another one are slim.  Ah well.  Looks like I only need the yellow one, but he probably does too – what does the white one do anyway?  I thought the blue one was the sound.

I keep getting the pop-up on my computer saying ‘You are running low on disk space’ – duh I have been for ages.  John was nice and took me to MSY (a computer parts company on the southside) so that I could get a new soundcard.  I got that (had to get the second cheapest cos they didn’t have any of the cheapest one – nothing unusual for them John claims), and I wanted to get a second hard-drive too, but didn’t have the money too – dammit!  So I’ll have to wait til this weekend to get it or something.  I have to pay rent this week too.  Whenever I finally seem to get some money, it goes straight back into something, the last few weeks anyway – I had rent three weeks ago, rego last week and rent again this week – it’s good i’m getting all my bills out of the way but jesus it shits ya.  I couldn’t even go out this weekend cos I didn’t have the money for a night out, so I had to let my friends down both Friday and Saturday night.  Looks like it may be that way for a while.  I haven’t been proper grocery shopping since I got back from holidays.  That was 4 weeks ago now, that’s pretty bad.  I went to the health food shop yesterday but I think that’s the last time I’m going there – they even sold milk in the fridge but it wasn’t drinking milk – it was BATHEING milk.&

nbsp; And I went and bought some fruit at Bi-Lo before it shut today and I kindly asked the girl at the counter if I could get some phone credit.  She didn’t even say ‘Hi’ when the transaction began and she rudely stated that I had to go to the service desk to get it, instead of just going and getting it herself cos she was too fucking lazy too.  She then rushed through my items, scoffing and I paid for my items, and went straight to the service desk, where I waited ages to get served.  I was standing there waiting and realised I’d left my groceries behind on the bitch’s counter, but really didn’t care.  in fact I was glad they were in her road.  I looked back anbd she’d shoved them on the register next to her.  Anyway I finally got served and asked for phone credit where I had to make a second transaction on my card, but at least the girl who served me was nice and told me to have a nice day on my way out.  I said to myself ‘You’re a lot nicer than the bitch on that register’, walked over to where she put my groceries, snapped them up and walked out, ignoring her looking at me as I did.  Rude bitch, the nerve I tell ya.  I wouldn’t be caught dead treating a customer like that – if you’re gunna be a cunt, you really should NOT be working in customer service!  GOD.

I installed my soundcard myself.  Iwas so proud of myself.  John told me how to do it but I realised I didn’t really need the help, just the encouragement I could do it.  I installed it, screwed everything (gee I wish) back in and instaslled the CD software.  I have no idea where the old soundcard is cos I couldn’t see anything in there that looked like the new soundcard I got, so I guess they are both in htere now.  Doesn’t matter cos I have SOUND again!  YAY!!!  I immediately downloaded so many new songs I’d missed.  The first two out of about 30 I got were actually my favourites – "Alfie" by Lily Allen

and ‘Lollipop’ by Mika.  He doesn’t seem to have a video for this one yet, so this’ll do 🙂

I don’t know a guy who can sing as high as he can – all his songs rock actually.

Well it’s 3:30am.  I normally get up around 4am anyway.  I might just go get ready.  Have a fabulous week guys and girls…
