The Kylie Concert
In Love Again – Rogue Traders
He said hey
Why you always feel this way?
Cause you take my heartbreak
And turn it to a song
He said hey
You know I don’t feel the same
Walk away – walk away
You’ll never hear me say, that?
[Chorus]
I’m falling, I’m falling in love again
Again, again, again, again, again
I’m falling, I’m falling in love again
Again, again, again, again, again
[Verse 2]
He said hey
Was it such a big mistake
Seeing you what we’ve been through
I know you’ll find your way
And I said wait
I’m never gonna break away
It’s too late ? it’s too late
You’ll never hear me say, that?

What a great day! At first, my bicycle seat broke, and I forgot my keys (but I retrieved them!) but the rest of the day was great! Had netball assessment. I reckon I did very good! I got the highest mark I’ve ever gotten in Extension Maths – 60%. I was stuffed after today. I played tennis all day. When I got home, I had a freezing cold shower, which cooled me down, after having to mow the grass! The Melbourne Cup was yesterday. "Jezebeel" won! I was going for "Arena". Second was "Champaine" and I forget what third place was. Listened to the hot 20 countdown on the radio. Speech Night is tomorrow!!! I finally managed to send my letter to Kristen in the USA, minus the photo.
Oh God, I wrote that eight years ago?? Hahaha, even I had fun reading back on it. I almost forgot about Kristen, a sorta penpal I used to have. She was actually pretty good looking for straight-guy standards now that i remember from her photo. Amazing how osme things stick with you. I’m gunna start putting random entries from my life from eight years ago, now that I’ve finally found where I put that diary. Not that it’s a diary, it’s more like a tattered notebook. Scary thing is, my writing back then was a lot neater than it is nowadays!!
Okay, the Kylie concert 🙂 How can I describe it…hmmmm…let’s say, maybe a little bit….absolutely increditibally awesomely FANTASTIC!!! Yes, it was definitely worth the wait of 18 months, and she put on a hell of a good show. All her dancer’s were hot as, the males and the females (as you’d expect with Kylie). The costumes… holy crap. Okay I’m going from what I can remember, so bare with me. Firstly she came out wearing a hell of a lot of pink and purple feathers, from her shoulders and her head (probably to make it look like she was taller, cos she really is a short-ass. Her dancers were all wearing black feathers, and the dance routine and the lights were spot-on. Every song was really well done and she sang everything from Locomotion (which she changed into a Chicago-style/Broadway-Musical number! It was awesome!) to I Believe In You. She also sang a song called ‘White Diamond’ which she wrote with the Scissor Sisters – apparently it’s going to be the next single. It’s totally gunna be a hit – really good song.
I went to the concert a critic. I took the bus there, because I’d done my research and read on Kylie forum pages how horrendous the traffic was trying to get out of the complex, plus I avoided the $9 parking fee. It was a short walk from the train station and I arrived there at about 7pm, an hour early. There were a lot of collecters with tins, collecting money for Kid’s With Cancer, a charity that Kylie supports (makes sense). I didn’t even realise that until I got inside and found my seat.
Get this, my seat was absolutely awesome! Well, I loved it anyway. I was in row ZZ. Haha, yup, VERY VERY last row, and I was to the right on the stage, so I could see Kylie well, the screen’s well, the middle screen pretty well and, because I was so high up, I could see whenever the cast and crew of her show were getting ready behind the scenes 🙂 I was quite happy with it. I felt sorry for the few people to the left of me who had a massive-arsed pole in their way. Why the hell would you even put a seat there!? Not that there were many, and I didn’t see anyone complaining, so yeh I guess all was good. She looked beautiful, and doned a lot of wigs during the show. The second costume change, she came out looking very dykeish!
The entire stadium was packed out for her third and final Brisbane performance. At the end, she came out and said a few words and thank you’s. She said that she heard a certain someone was in the audience, and when the big screens showed Shane Warne! He was in the audience!! I’m pretty sure he was on the other side of the Center to what I was, I couldn’t tell in that massive crowd, but he gave a bit of a wave. I had to wonder why the hell he was at a Kylie concert, but a few of my friends have commented that there would’ve been (and were) a lot of teenage girls there. Hahaha.
I was expecting a lot of gay people there, but apparently the queens were at the Friday and Saturday concerts. As if you’d see a queer out on a Monday night haha. I probably saw about 3 gay couples and 1 lesbian couple, and quite a few single gay guys amongst the crowd. There were such a wide array of people there. I was sitting next to a middle aged-couple to the right of me, and two girls (probably in their early to mid twenties) to the left of me. I was up and dancing most of the night away, and pretty much the whole night, I didn’t even care that I was doing it alone. Everyone else was dancing too. I loved my seat cos i was in the very last row, so I didn’t have to block the view of anyone behind me, due to my height. It was awesome! Definitely worth the money and the wait. Like I said before, I went to the concert a critic – i was expecting her to lip-sync, but she actually didn’t. I know this because her uncle was in the audience, and she sang happy birthday to him, in her own purely-kylie voice. I was amazed at how good her voice really is, and it’s not all synthosised. Better than the friggin Hilary Duff concert.
I was meaning to write a list of the
music artists I’ve seen live:
- Kylie Minogue
- Rogue Traders
- Marcia Hines
- Tina Cousins
- Anthony Callea
- Garbage
- The Veronicas
- Rebecca St. James
- Hilary Duff
I think that’s it, if you don’t count all the Christian Artists. I count Rebecca St James because she’s won a grammy award, and is one of my fav’s. The best concert out of those is still Garbage, and the worst was Hilary. She wasn’t too bad, but she didn’t dance much, it sounded like her CD, and the only song she really nailed was ‘Someone’s Watching over Me’. That I enjoyed. Garbage just went totally off! LOVED that.
Anyway I’m kinda not really wanting to write an entry, but I am anyway. It’s too hot! I guess it’s only one week until Summer! Gee, I’ve so gotta join the gym next door, purely so I can use their pool! 🙂
Mwah.
rebecca st james won a grammy and is doing a christmas tour/cd with brian littrell!!! how awesome! she gets to tour with a backstreet boy!!! i managed to check my faves once more before bed and you were done so i got to read it before bed! i’m glad you enjoyed kylie! ***(((HUGZ)))*** kiki & connor xoxoxoxo
