More than I need to

So yeah, my keyboard drawer keeps falling out and it’s really pissing me off.  Lol, I press on the keys too hard and the drawer comes crashing onto my legs.  Not that’s it’s heavy or anything, but trying to put them back in their slots really isn’t easy, well it is, keeping them there is the problem 🙂

Today was so crappy at work.  Just irritating more than anything.  I just find it annoying that the people who are multiskilled and help out people in another department, get little credit for the help they give.  I’m talking about myself of course.  It just sucks.  So yeah now I’m way behind in my department.  Oh well, things will be good.  The budget is just tight this week so it sucks.  Only 2 days til the weekend.  I’m trying to do a whole lot of nothing this weekend.  I have to go and see The Producers with Lindsay.  I’m not sure I’ll understand the movie, but I’ll soon find out.  Lindsay is the biggest fan, and this will be about the 4th time he’s seen the movie, and he saw the play so many times as well when it was here in Brisbane. I’d love to go to a QPAC performance one day.  That would be pretty fucking awesome I reckon.

I just remembered something.  Michael Crawford is playing sometime soon, and he’d be pretty awesome to see live.  I just looked him up and he’s playing at Coolum, his only Queensland performance.  Wow, what a weird place for a concert.  Anyway I’m gunna look into it.  Doubt anyone would wanna go with me besides my parents, as they are huge fans, and I’d look weird going by myself cos it looks like it’s at some hotel thing, where you’d need to get dressed up.  Oh well.  I still think I’ll bite the bullet and go to it, I can save up money by then if it doesn’t sell out.  I’ll have to let Nev know as well.  He’ll want to be going.

Brisbane’s a nice city, so I thought I’d try and find a few pics of the city where I live, just general ones.

this is the city, the western side of it, mainly apartment buildings, very pretty at night, i'm captivated by the lights

this is the story bridge. the road i usually take when i'm going back out to the farm near millmerran. either this one or the centenary highway.

It always looks so much better by a propessional photographer doesn’t it grrr lol.  Oh well, I’m getting there! 😛

It even has a webcam situated at Southbank I just found out!  http://www.ourbrisbane.com/living/brisbanelife/webcam/ <

I thought that was a nice one, further up the river where all the rich folk live lol.

Anyway enough of my city patriatism 🙂  I’ve had a weird day.  Trying to sort myself out.  My horoscope said I have two choices, I can move on and live life or I can cling on to the anxieties I’m currently feeling.  How great timing is that.  I hardly ever read a horoscope and the one time I do, I get that. It’s pretty right on, probably with a lot of people right now.  There was more to it than that but that’s all i remember.

Wow kinda excited about that Michael Crawford concert now.  Hopefully it doesn’t sell out 🙂  I just printed out the page and put it on the kitchen bench for Nev to find when he wakes up in the morning.  He always leaves well before I even awake.  Aren’t I nice?  Hopefully he’ll appreciate it.

I think I realised I’m taking life too seriously/full on than I need to today. 🙂

You are nice! Very considerate. ryn: Looking at the above pictures, that bloody well settles it. I’ll tell my valet, Jarvis, to pack the old toothbrush and a change of pants in the old carpetbag, we’re taking the first steamer to Brisbane. Balls to visas etc., I am noblity, after all. =P Mm, more seriously, though, it isn’t an entirely bad idea. I mean, after all, you’re there, arent you? 🙂

i’m glad you’re proud of your city! i’m the same way about seattle! 🙂

I saw Michael Crawford perform in The Phantom of the Opera at the Ahmanson Theatre in downtown Los Angeles many years ago. Awesome. The Producers was playing when Andy and I visited New York last March, but Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick had long since left the show. Didn’t have time to see a show, maybe next time. You’ve read my New York story at BH and know I’ll definitely go back.

I’m totally amazed at how beautiful Brisbane is…I’ve always wanted to go to Australia, and now, it looks like I’ll have to check out your neck of the woods when I get there…

Brisbane is nice, but QLD is a little too laid back… I lived there when I was younger, in… Manly? I think it was, not sure too long ago.

I think that is a very pretty city. Don’t always take life to seriousily. Some times you just have to roll with things. Big hugs to you…

The pictures look very pretty and strangely familiar…I hope that seeing the Producers will lift your spirits a little. I’ve only heard the songs from the musical but they’re funny. Have a good weekend!
