Poor Dad!

My poor dad, he is just so funny sometimes. For anyone who doesnt know….

My mom passed away 5 years ago, soon after my dad started dating and then eventually married Raquel. Now, hes married and has a soon to be one year old. I held some resentment In the beginning, but that’s because she is ONLY six years older than me. She’s my moms cousin (somehow) and NOW they have a one year old. She’s nice, Ill give her that, and we get along. She’s frequent to have questions about raising Brandi (my younger sister) which Is nice….especially that she trust to ask ME questions in raising her little girl. Heehee, Ill admit though I do love the little booger. She’s a great baby.

Well last night my dad called me at about 12 in the morning asking me how high a fever should be before you go to the ER. I told him with Ky that I’ve waited till if got to 102.5 and if it didn’t look like it was going to break I would take him in, then suggested to keep her in just a diaper for a little while, if that doesn’t work give her a cold wash cloth bath…and if it doesn’t break or if it continues to go up then take her in…he then said okay “Thanks Amanda, I trust that you know what you’re talking about since you have Ky and all.” It REALLY made me smile. At first I was irritated that he would call so late but you figure it had to be important. Its nice to know that he thinks he can ask me questions about a baby.

He also told me that my GREAT grandpa, who’s in his late 80s had a heart attack last week and it doesn’t look good. Now I don’t know if this is something that I should talk to my boss about taking time off….I’ve only met him a few times, and I’ve written to his wife a couple times too….I’m thinking about writing them another letter to let them know that were thinking of them and all. I remember being younger and he was already “sooo old”. I do remember though his wife made the BEST pumpkin pie I ever had.
Yawn….
Ok Im going to start doing some work related things…heehee Ill check up in a few.
