notes on a trend

I’m up too late, I talked too seriously, had one scotch too many (which adds to 2, the way I pour and drink them)

Lying in bed, trying to recall a lot of good advice and conversation. trying not to get up and grab the bottle.

My mind’s made up though – I’m done with this job, have gotten all I can from it and it’s gotten all it can from me. Keep working on it hard enough to get the reference I need, start moving on. Only got the one idea, haven’t thought it right the way through, but fuck it and jump, eventually you have to – standing on the ledge thinking about it is worse. Now sleep and no dreams, wake up to the alarm, have breakfast while chatting to fran, survive tomorrow. Another day, another dollar (probably another drink.)

Good luck with your job hunt 🙂 and don’t forget procurement. I think the supermarket experience will be very valuable in that field. xxx

oh also, find job first, quit later. I know heaps of fantastic people who quit first thinking they’d find something else quickly and it majorly backfired. Consider hanging onto the job through your search as ‘financial backing’ 🙂 xxx
