Aloha from the southern coast of Oregon…
What fun… to see so many new “faces” here at Open Diary… well truth be told… I guess we are all new (to this site)…
It seems that the majority are happy to return to our O.D. Ohana (family)… and it brings a smile to my face when friends rediscover one another…
There are a few (the vast minority) who try to cast a dark shadow over what the Diary Master is attempting… but it is my guess… that they will either have a change of heart… or just drift away…
With so many people logging-in on Friday… it’s no wonder there were a myriad of problems… but if you think those were problems… you should have seen what we experienced as beta-testers… (smiles)
I am so happy to be a part of this community once again… and I thank you for both your friend requests… and your notes to me…

I’m anxious to see familiar faces coming back now that the site is public. I think the Nay Sayers will go away once the free period is over. Unless you live to complain, I can’t see anyone paying just to bitch and gripe.

I’m sorry that things ran so slowly on Opening Day Friday. It was a homerun that so many people tried to get in – but a bit of an error that it didn’t go swimmingly. Needless to say, the faithful with preserver what is sure to be a short term problem. Things seem greatly improved today. Like you, I look forward with great anticipation to the return of many a missing friend. And I’m equally excited to be making new ones – such as yourself.

I knew the site would be overwhelmed, so I got my words in before the relaunch and just left the site alone for a few days. I’m glad to see people back as well, and am eager to reacquaint with them all. Cheers,

Im seeing improvement in speed already! I am looking forward to many many years here, I paid my membership last night, Im happy and I know this is going to be FANTASTIC!!!

I expected the site to slow down on Friday. I was not disappointed because I knew so many were coming back home.

I am finally back again too after losing my password for a while…but still finding my way around….its quite different to PB which I got used to easily. Yes so many old friends are here now which is a great surprise as a lot of them said they would not come back….however… here we are. Have a great day Jim…hugs p

I’m glad to see that familiar “faces” Are returning and those I’ve known. I knew that the process was going to be slow because everyone was so excited. I’m glad it’s back and that we’ve got this place once more.
