Stupid Ankle

I managed to twist my ankle at work on Wednesday.  Not super bad, thank god!  But enough that I decided it wouldn’t be a great idea to go to kickboxing.  I can walk on it, but if I happen to step wrong, ouch!!  So I didn’t go to kcikboxing Wednesday night, or this morning.  But if I would have been thinking, I could have had mom drop me off at the gym on her way to kickboxing, even with a sprained ankle I can use the elliptical.  (I LOVE that thing!)  I didn’t though, instead, I stayed up too late last night and slept in this morning!

I have bad timing, I swear, every time I’m really starting to feel focused in my workouts, or getting really motivated, I injur myself, or get sick… ~sigh~  At least this time though I’m still able to go to the gym, even if I can’t do kickboxing!  So tonight, mom and I went to the gym and did our weight lifting.  There are a few machines I’ve all ready been able to up the weight on, it’s really nice to be keeping tack of it now!   What I’ve been doing is writting down the amount, and if after two sets I’m not feeling a little bit of a burn at the end, I make a note to up the weight next time, and then I just up it by 5 pounds, so I’m not trying to jump forward too much. 

After we finished with that, we did 15 minutes on the elliptical.  Eventually, maybe we’ll have enough energy to do 30, but even 15 is something, and that’s always better than nothing!   Now I just need to keep working at trying to get my ass to bed early so I can get up early in the morning and go work out!  Eventually, I’d like to be able to go Monday and Wednesday morning, maybe Friday, but maybe not since it’s my day off!  Or if I did go, it wouldn’t be that early!
