I’ve not been very motivated to write on OD lately, maybe because I feel like I’d just be repeating myself.  Nothing much going on, just work and trying to get the house clean, a little bit of craftiness, and chasing the kids around.

Except yesterday, I nearly had a heart attack.  Ben walked up to Chloe’s kiddie table and flipped it, sending my laptop a good two feet into the air before landing on our not-so-soft laminate flooring.  For over an hour I couldn’t even get the thing to turn out, and I was about to panic because I’m in the middle of editing a senior session, plus I have another session next week.  Thankfully, it did start to come back on, and the only real casualty of the fall seems to be the touchpad, which is completely dead.  But, the important thing is that it’s usable until I can get it fixed.

I told Aaron, the very minute I have the extra money, I’m buying another computer just for my business and it’s staying in my "office" – the kids will never have the opportunity to touch it!  I don’t ever want to go through that again!!

I’ve been doing a lot of gardening over the past couple of weeks.  The kids and I planted our seeds, some of which are starting to sprout, and then just this week I planted some lilies and gladiolis in the yard and dug some lilac tree sprouts from my mom’s yard and transplanted them in front of hours. Sometime this week or next, I’ll be transplanting all the vegetable seedlings, plus planting more.  I just need to get more potting soil.  We’re doing a lot of work to the yard, making it a nicer place to play for the kids, and a nicer place for us to hang out while we’re out there too.  We were going to rebuild our porch, which is getting rickety, but I figured out it was cheaper just to rebuild the steps and then do a patio out of square concrete stepping stones.

I’ve got work later, and I’ve got a bunch of stuff to do before I get ready, so I guess I’d better get to it.  Blah.
