trying to stay awake

As much as I hate the idea, I HAVE to go grocery shopping this evening.  I haven’t been (other than to pick up random necessities) since the beginning of December.  So now, even though I have food in the cabinets, it’s all random stuff that won’t go together to make anything palatable.  And my fridge…well, it’s pretty much naked except for some stale bagels, milk, and Gatorade leftover from the birth. 

We’ll be dropping Jacob off at home before we venture into the grocery store, so that’s one less kid we’ll have begging for candy and junk food.  And forget the carseat bucket; Mr. Ben is getting worn around in the Moby.  Or maybe the sling, since it’s a bit quicker.  I wore him around in it for a bit last night, in a vertical position, and he finally seems satisfied with it.  I do need to be practicing with the Moby more, though, because it’s taking me too long to tie on at this point.  And I need to learn how to nurse him in it as well.

I need to get on making a list of what I need so I’m not wandering around the store like an idiot. 

Oy – I’ve got two out of three kids asleep, and I’d really like to take a nap myself, but we all know that’s not going to happen.  Bleh.
