finally!
Finally, it seems I have the time to sit down and write a proper entry. Most of the time, Ben climbs into my lap as soon as I sit down at the computer, leaving typing pretty much an impossibility, but now he’s sitting on the couch watching "Da" (aka Dora), so we’ll see how much typing I can squeeze in.
Ben is talking up a storm these days. I can’t even count the number of words he’s saying. And, he’s counting! He counts to five, not with any consistency, but it’s still darn cute. He woke up this morning, rolled over and told me "Wuv you." and then gave me two kisses. *melt* Seriously, I love that kid.
Life has been so hectic for me the past couple of weeks. I’ve been working, and working some more. It’s seems like every weekend I do nothing but work from sunup to sundown because some one inevitably calls in on the closing shift. I’ve been volunteering to stay over and pick up the slack, because I need the hours, but working so much sucks. The last two Saturdays in a row, my 7 hour shifts turned into 10-or-longer. But, I’m getting lots of bonus points with the managers, so that’s a good thing.
Plus, I’m still trying to do everything around the house that needs doing because Aaron has been slacking off and not keeping up his end of the bargain. (Ie – if I’m working most of the week, it’s his job to take care of the housework). But that’s another entry altogether, and it’s too early to get into it.
I’m pretty much behind on everything lately: my blogs, craft projects that people have commissioned me to do, housework, etc. It feels like I’m constantly playing catchup but I can never actually get caught up. It’s stressful.
Also, I’ve been trying to decide if and when and why I’m going to attempt to go back to school to get my Bachelor’s. Part of me wants it really bad and I think that I’ll always feel like I failed at something if I don’t eventually get a four year degree, but another part of me couldn’t care less and wonders why the heck I need it anyway if I’m just planning on being a SAHM for the rest of my life. And then, there’s the question of what to even study. I’m interested in SO many things: English, Creative Writing, Fine Art, Photography (duh), Philosophy, History…I could easily major in any of those things.
But anyway, breakfast time’s over and it’s time for me to dive into some housework or something else constructive.
