It’s been such a nice, easygoing week.  So relaxing.  I wish I had more of them.

Chloe and I had a girls’ day out on Wednesday.  We went to Office Depot so I could pick up a few things and then I took her to Borders where she picked out books for herself and each of the boys.  Then we went to Bob Evan’s to eat (YUM.).  While we were waiting on our food to arrive she wrapped her arm around my shoulders and told me, "Mom, you’re my best friend!"  *melt* Of course, 15 minutes later she was back to not listening to a thing I said, but we had fun and it was nice to spend some quality time with her and leave Ben with his daddy.

In the course of our day I also managed to figure out that there’s a Hobby Lobby opening in Huntington.  So, now we have a Hobby Lobby, a Michael’s, and an AC Moore all within three miles of one another.  Woohoo!  lol.  HL opens tomorrow, so I think I’ll go check it out.  I need to do the grocery shopping anyway.

Also, AC Moore is hiring, and I’m thinking about applying for a part time position.  My unemployment benefits run out in about a month, and even though my monthly bills are already taken care of up through the new year, it would be nice to keep some income coming in for fun money and money for extras.

It’s Tuesday now.  Quite a bit of a time gap, I know, but my laptop charger crapped out on me and I had to order a new one.  Plus, the past two days or so I’ve just been feeling really blah.  Kinda like I feel the week before I get my period, normally, except I haven’t had one of those since April, and that was the first one in over a year.  So, I’m not really expecting it or anything.  But, maybe my hormones are fluctuating.  Who knows?

Have I mentioned how much I love Facebook as an advertising/marketing tool?  I’m getting tons of inquiries from friends of folks I’ve done sessions for.  I just booked an event this morning – not a wedding, but the day before.  Huge rehearsal and dinner at one of the biggest venues in the state, complete with sternwheel boat ride on the river!  There are going to be 75 people just at the rehearsal dinner!  It’s not until next August, so lots of time to prepare.  I’m also in the process of booking another wedding for next June.  I’m doing portraits this Friday for a couple who are having a very small wedding (just them and the pastor) in the same park Samantha got married in.

I was going to try to make cheesy turkey meatloaf for dinner, but my recipe website is down.  If it doesn’t come back up within the next ten minutes, I’m either going to have to wing the recipes or just fix something else.  Really, I’m not in the mood to do anything but sit and stare at the TV or computer.  I’m having a non-sensory day: I don’t want to talk or be touched or listen to anyone.  I’m all socialized out.

Man, I’m a downer today, huh?  Pfft.

I just need to get up and get my behind moving.  Maybe that’ll help.

ryn: yes, we’re still planning on a homebirth. Need to make sure my thyroid levels are stabilised (they’ve been a bit odd recently… I have had an underactive thyroid for 12 years) so I can be ‘signed off’ by the consultant and then it’s full steam ahead! xx
