It is absolutely gorgeous weather today. Middle of February, and I’ve got my house windows open. *shakes head* It’s nuts. Two weeks ago we were living at my mom’s because of the ice storm and now it’s sixty five degrees and breezy. Forcefully breezy, but still breezy. Kinda makes the wait through the windstorm worth it, to get a beautiful day like today.
Not quite warm enough to take the kiddos out, though. There’s still a winter chill in the air. But it makes me look forward to spring and getting outside and playing in the dirt and grass, discovering things all over again through Ben’s eyes.
Need to get a fence up around my yard by then, though. Can’t have Chloe running off around the neighborhood or tramping through the woods, which she’d likely do. So, we’ll fence in the yard and she can run to her little heart’s content, and Ben can play safely on a blanket. And I can hang clothes out without worrying about them. (Much, anyway.)
Almost time for spring cleaning, too. Not that I’ve ever spring cleaned in my entire life, but I think this year may warrant it. We’ve been in this house nearly two years and it’s time to go through, room by room, and clean and scrub and declutter and freshen up. Maybe paint, if I have the funds and the time. We’ll see. I do hate to spend money on a house that I know we won’t be in for too many years, but at the same time, it’s my home right now. And my emotional and mental moods are very closely connected to my environment, so it does makes sense to make this home a place that puts me into good spirits. Environmental therapy.
Ah. Time to feed the baby, and see what the Chloe-bug would like for dinner. 🙂

yay for warmth and sun! it’s sunny here today too – had snow yesterday! i’d say do some painting if you can… we’re the same: we know we won’t be in our house for many more years, but it’s still good to keep it nice while you’re living there! xx
