(Friday) continued
It was nice when i left the center so I went ot the pool. Got wrapped up in the book Holly leant me about a pregnant teenager on the bus ride on the way there and was determined to finish it once I got to the pool. I felt really hollow after I finished it cause the ending was of course sad and also because I’d just finshed a book. No one was at th pool really and i really wanted to get going. But then Annie cmae up to me and was like “aren’t we going to do our laps today?” Truthfully i hadn’t expected us to stick with it after Holly left for Marthat’s Vineyard. I was sore and tired from a long nad emotionla day. But i couldn’t let Annie down. So hiding a grimace from my face at the thought of doing more laps I siad sure. I”m really glad I did!
It was easier than it was on thursday and my arms quickly acclamated to the work. We finished the first 23 laps in a what seemed like no time at all and took a break. I had some dinner and talked with Connie. And my dad came by after work. Then Annie and I swam our second set. It felt so good gettign inot a rythm, almost meditative. Up, back, up, back. It took us a little logner to do the second 23 laps but when I came out of the pool I felt refreshed and energized rather than dog tired like I did the day before. Shortly after that we went home.
I sent Rachel an email wishing her a happy shabbat. It’s weird though cause our firendshiop is really unbalanced. She considers me one of her best friends in the world, I…well lets just sya I’m not sure how I feel. But I just realy felt like emailing her then, after the shabbat lunch at the Center. She called me right before 20/20 started and we had a really nice conversation. Turns out my email came at just the right time cause she was having a really bad night and it cheered her up to know someone was thinking of her. We reminsiced about old times in Israel and caught up on our lives. So things are cool, for now.
Basically just vegged at home that night. Watched Dateline and the second half of 20/20 and tried to get to sleep a little earlier but failed miserably.
