Room To Grow

Inspiration is a queer, and fickle thing– like one imagines cupid to be; flittering here and there, shooting folks almost at random, in sparse occasions. If one specializes in any particular medium, be it story, or paint, or craftsmanship of any kind, that occasion is going to be all the more sparse still…but for me, the only medium I’ve ever really understood is the medium of the mind, and the realm of ideas. It allows me, I think, the privilege of increasing my rate of inspiration– diversifying the subject matter from which to build constructs. Cultivation isn’t guaranteed, but I have at least attained a certain degree of knowledge pertaining to the type of environment that is required for it– almost to the point of at least an 80% certainty. The basic ingredients are quite simple; novel concepts that have been rigorously understood, and defined, and room for them to grow. Once a few simple ideas have taken shape; reduced and explained in their most basic, and consistent forms. They become as blocks– whose firmness is dependent on how well they are understood.
