Ta-ta for now!

Hi,

I don’t want anyone to worry about me because I’ve privatised all my entries.

Everything is fine, I’m just taking a bit of a step back from here for a little while. That’s not to say I’m leaving, because I’m not, I’ll probably write an entry still from time to time and I planning to still read and keep up to date with the people I care about.

It’s just occurred to me that I’ve been on here, in 3 different diary forms since I was thirteen years old. That’s half my life on this place. As a favourite said to me, that’s almost like The Truman Show. Like Truman, I’ve outgrown the construct created for me and I think it’s time for a change.

I love this place and I’m not going to leave it till it’s end and I truly care about a lot of you, some of you have been friends that have changed my life in lots of little subtle ways. Thank you. But I don’t truly feel comfortable here anymore. Maybe it’s because sometimes it can be a little insular and smothering, maybe it’s because some friendships are slightly outgrown, maybe it’s all the clashing personalities and bigger-than-life characters and Mean Girl situations…I don’t know. It is what it is. There’s also the support and the advice and the constructive criticism that I’ve needed to hear…and friends that are sometimes a lot better than the real life ones.

I just need to go it alone for a bit. Learn to write here because I want to, rather than need to.
