I’m baaaaaaaack! Sadly. Haha, definitely did not want to leave beautiful California!
Lightning in a Bottle was AMAZING!!!!!!!! We had to wait in line at the box office for 4.5 hours (some people had to wait like 8 hours! Poor things) to get our wristbands. Then we finally got to the festival and had to lug around our tents and crap for 1.5 hours until we finally found a camping spot. Aside from all that, the rest of the festival was better than I could have ever imagined. The art, music and people were amazing. I did yoga, listened to Alex Grey and his wife speak and did a drawing workshop with them, saw tons of amazing DJs and awesome acrobatic and performance art acts! Tim’s friends (Rob and Lynne) that we stayed with brought us extra camping things and they were the nicest couple ever, I like them a lot! So glad I got to meet them. We went to their house after the festival on Monday and they cooked us an amazing dinner. Tuesday they took us to the beach in Malibu, which was beautiful! =D
Anyway. Saturday night at the festival I met the most awesome guy ever! His name is Mike and he’s 32. He lives in Sacramento, CA. I randomly ran into him when Rob and I had gone back to our campsite to grab something. He had to go back and meet up with his friends and Rob and I had to go back to meet ours, but since his camping site was right by ours we agreed to meet up after the music stopped at midnight. I seriously could not stop thinking about him the whole time and finally after the music, we went back to camp. Went over to his campsite and hung out with all his friends for a good while because my friends had all went to sleep! Eventually we all decided to walk back down to the festival grounds to see what else was going on. We went in this awesome 3D blacklight room and then went to the silent disco. The silent disco was really crowded and there was a line to get in, so Mike and I went and sat under a tree together. We laid there for literally HOURS talking about everything, it was so awesome! Eventually he kissed me and we just snuggled together for awhile. Finally the sun started coming up so we went back to camp and grabbed blankets and laid down under another tree to nap. We did not leave each others sides for the whole rest of the festival until Monday when we both had to leave. It was seriously magical haha, I feel like I have known him forever and he said the same thing. Our birthdays are 2 days apart too which is cool! It sucked leaving him on Monday but we exchanged numbers and promised to see each other again! He called me Monday night after he got home, we texted a bunch on Tuesday and then on Wednesday (last night) we texted a bunch during the day and then when I got home from the airport we talked on FaceTime for awhile! I’m supposed to call him when I get off work today before he goes into work (he’s a bartender). I’m seriously so happy about this…I mean yeah it sucks balls that he lives in California, but I have a feeling it will all work out (if it’s even meant to…). He’s already talking about coming to visit me…but it sucks because I’m moving back home at the end of August and he isn’t sure if he can make it before then cuz of work and stuff. We’ll see. It’s the thought and effort that counts the most. He’s already been pricing plane tickets! =D
I LOVED California…and coming home on the plane I suddenly realized that I love the whole west coast really. I love Cali, Oregon and Washington. I would love to be in any of those states. Now I know that moving home is the right choice…even though it makes me depressed to even think about. This is my chance to pay off my debts and save up some money to make the life I want…whether that be here, or somewhere on the west coast.
In other news, I still have not spoken to my mom which is making this whole moving home thing even more stressful. I just keep telling myself it will all be okay. Just because I’m back there doesn’t mean I have to involve her in my life.
I’m looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend…coming back to work today was not easy! But I just have to make it through tomorrow and I’m good. Wish Mike could be here to spend it with me… hehe =P
After work tonight I must make myself go run at the park again…I need to make it a habit so I continue to feel good.
Happy Thursday!
<3!
