A Crowspiracy

My plans were originally to attend a family reunion from August 2nd-5th. My Aunt who was arranging it has shingles and they spread to her eyes. So she had to have some kind of surgery. Years ago she had a brain tumor. A  biopsy was done and there was some damage done, to whatever part of the brain was checked during the procedure.

So she didn’t have that filter where one thinks before acting. For example my Grandpa who used to tell stories for hours was going to give a speech at my brother’s wedding. So my Aunt said out loud "If you have to go to the bathroom, do it now." I don’t see her often because she is in a different city. A town really. And last time she saw me she said "See  you again or maybe not." I found it kind of amusing. So the family reunion is cancelled.

Today some crows were stalking me. My Dad had told me that lately when he sees crows on telephone poles he has been making his hand look like a gun and making noises. Then they fly away. So I was going to try that today. I had to get something from my car and some crows were around me. This one crow flew up on a telephone pole and was doing a loud cawwwwwww sound when I did that. The little bugger didn’t fly away though. Then I went back inside. My cubicle faces the window. I kept on hearing cawwing and ignored it for a while. Then i go to the window and look out. there were two crows just sitting on the grass staring at me and cawing. So I yelled at them “get out of here.“ They left.

Then when I left work there were 4 at the end of the parking lot probably gorging on leftover fast food remmants. They were cawing in that weird crow kind of way. I tell you it is a crowspiracy! It was so windy on Saturday. I spent a few hours outside yesterday though. I was so hungry by the end of the day. My co-worker made spaghetti soup. There were pasta noodles and  meatballs in it, yum!
