Japanese Restaurant Pigout
It is around minus 18 farenheit outside. The city has already gone over the budget for snow cleanup. So residential streets have large ruts of snow on them. I didn’t plug my car in over the weekend. So My car wouldn’t start yesterday.
On Saturday Karl and I went to Nagoya a Japanese restaurant. We had the $25 dinner buffet. It was the best buffet I have ever been to. Instead of the food sitting out in trays you write down what you want on a menu. And indicate the quantity. Then the servers bring it to you.
I didn’t have lunch and the food was so good I didn’t stop eating. We started with a seafood, bean vegetable soup. Then sesame chicken, lemon chicken and ginger beef. Then shrimp spring rolls and shrimp hand rolls. Then rainbow sush pizza which is something I had never tried before. And for dessert green tea ice cream and fried bananas that had chocolate on them. I hadn’t ordered the friend banana but the bit of it I had was tasty. The next day I didn’t eat much.
That night I had odd dreams perhaps due to the food. In the first I was in front of a huge mirror which looked like it had tv static on it. There was a witch to my right. I had the feeling that she was evil. All of a sudden I vanished and I could hear her talking to someone else, wondering where I went. I didn’t know where I was either. It felt awful having no sense of being alive or dead, or perhaps in another dimension.
In the second dream my parents place had the same awful kitchen floor as when I was young. My niece and nephew were little kids. My Mom was babysitting them. I was downstairs and found a way to get my soul to go upstairs. I turned the tv on and off and began to move things around. They couldn’t see me. I gently tugged on my Mom’s hair.
I have already picked up a few small Christmas presents. For all of the Christmas presents I want to get in total I don’t think I will spend over $250.00 It is a nice feeling to know I can buy presents and not have to worry about having money to pay rent or other bills. Today I was trying to think of what I want for Christmas. Other than gift certificates for Winners or my fave book store I just want a robot vacuum cleaner. I saw one at this discount place xs cargo. I’m not sure how good that model is though.
I thought this was an odd story. A girl stuck under a vehicle and the fire department had to get her outhttp://www.cjme.com/story/saskatoon-firefighters-rescue-woman-found-under-vehicle/86754
That dinner sounds really good! I haven’t been to a buffet in forever. Hope your snow lets up soon!
