Going on the retreat for work last week was nice. It was pretty sweet to have my hotel room and all of my meals paid for. Plus it was considered to be work even though it wasn’t really aside from Thursday. I had my period so I was in pain and grouchy. And I had what felt like a migraine. I had to share the room with a co-worker but I get along with her pretty good. The only thing was she goes to be early and I go to bed around 12 or 12:30. And she was up at 6:30 even though we could have slept in if we wanted to. If I had been feeling better it would have been really fun. We went to an Asian restaurant the first night and a Greek place on Thursday. And I had eggs benedict on Thursday and fruit and a muffin on Friday morning.
On the last day we went to a garage sale. I bought Sex In The City season 1 and 2 plus a Puma purse for $10. I got them to throw in the purse for free. On Saturday I slept on my neck wrong. I had what felt like a pinched nerve. This stabbing pain from saturday until today My Mom had a retirement party for my Dad and it was also a birthday party for my nephew. They both gave speeches which was cute. I had some leftover steak so my sister wrapped it in foil in the shape of a swan. I want to learn to do that.
Then last night my bro his wife and my cute little niece formerly known as squishy face was there. I just call her Shyla now. She looks exactly like my brother did when he was a baby. The white blonde hair and a cute little face. She was going up and down the stairs when I was with her and my bro. She would move up then scoot back down. Then she stood and decided to take a stap. I had my hand by her back but she was doing it on her own. My bro said "that is different" so I think it was her first time doing that.
And I was looking after this little baby named Furious yesterday. He was so sweet. Now I want a baby! Not really though. But anyone who has kids is truly blessed.
A Thunderstorm woke me up last night. My blinds are closed but I could still see the lightning flashing through the window. And the thunder was very loud. I thought lightning was going to hit something close to my place.
I bought a cool electronic New York Times recipe Master last weekend. I had thought I was saving recipes and that took a while because there are hundreds in it. You get the story behind the recipe, ingredients and can somehow even do a shopping list. I was going through the recipes for a long time. Then the batteries died. The opening for the batteries has one of those tiny screws in it. None of my screwdrivers worked and ended up stripping the screw. So I gave it to Karl to figure out. If I can ever get new batteries in there it wil be fun to use.
There is a heatwave here. It was around 100 degrees farenheit yesterday and is 93 here today. For some places that isn’t too bad. But where I live that is considered to be hot. My hair is getting frizzier due to the humidity. I don’t really mind having lion hair.
It is REALLY hot here. I am dying.

I could barely handle things yesterday. Let alone Rian. Poor little thing lost her mind when we got home from the city. Good finds at the garage sale. I want all the seasons of Sex and the City. That’s too bad that you were feeling so crappy on the retreat, at least you had some great food. I love eggs benedict.
