Well, I made it. Here’s the proof I know you were (not really) dying for!

This is the walkup to the beach in my neighborhood.

Stuff I have learned:

* You need to give CONSERVATIVE instructions when trying a new barber.

* There are small lizards under foot everywhere here.

* The approximate number of trips it takes to get anything done at the DMV is still 3.

* Getting a vehicle re-titled, licensed, and registered is easy, but expensive.

* Getting a simple driver’s license converted from one state to another is cheap, but amazingly difficult.

* Voter registration – easiest of all.

* This extended stay hotel looked a lot nicer on the internet. (By a lot I mean, a LOT) *Edit – My new apartment isn’t available for about a week, so I’m staying at a hotel for a bit)

* I miss my people.

-edit – No need to worry about Isaac, the news says it won’t be passing through this way. (at least not at a dangerous strength). Thanks for the concern though!

Having kind of a boring weekend here. I wish my apartment was ready. I feel homeless!

We have a lot of lizards here too 🙂 Bella loves to chase them! Um, extended stay hotel, is this your new place–the one you were so stoked about?

ryn: Ohh, Ok. Have you been by to check out your new place, yet?!

At least your vote will mean something this year. Romney needs your vote in Florida.

Glad you got all that stuff straightened out. Ugh. The lizards are good – they eat all the bugs 🙂

My grandparents always rumbled that the registration prices in Maine were RIDICULOUS compared to everything in Florida. I am reallllllly excited that you will be living next to the ocean…I just realized what a big deal it must be for you!

Oh the ocean, how I miss it 🙂

Yay! I’m glad you made it okay!

I think… we should go on a date. 😛

Glad you made it safe.

You made it! Congratulations! Beautiful photos…I’m more than a little bit jealous 🙂 Take it easy, breathe, and enjoy this little in-between time. Go adventuring! Best,

Did you hear about Greg Laurie’s harvest america thing? It’s going on this weekend. You should check it out. I’m going to a friend’s house tomorrow night to watch. Welcome to the tropical!!! Lizards are the norm. Be aware of other little critters too. We get a lot of peacocks around here and its amaaaaaaazing. I need to get a haircut so bad. My hair is way past its normal length midway down my back. I’m just so afraid to try someone new!! Which extended stay are you at? Try Candlewood Suites. I LOVED them.

This is why I haven’t changed my MI license to an Illinois one yet! I’m so happy for you! You are in a fantastic place in life. 🙂 Ashley

Thanks. 🙂 Me too. I think I might even read it once more. Your new “home” looks amazing and beautiful. (The beach). 🙂

I might have to catch it online too, with the hurricane and all. SIGH. I think you’d enjoy it. I love listening to him.

Good luck with your new life in Florida.

You’re not homeless anymore… yay!! The beach looks beautiful. To me, it’s like something from another world (still winter down here). Enjoy it! It SUCKS that you need to transfer your driver’s license (sp?) when you move to another state. The downs of the federal system.

No more entries? I just ran across you today. I hope everything is going ok for you.
