And 5 days early…
My baby boy has arrived!!
After a day of false labour pains, and an evening of them finally settling into a pattern, I decided to call my midwife at 3am. She said she’d meet me at the hospital, and it is a good thing she did….as he was born at 4:16am! Basically was waiting for my epi, breathing through pains, and my water popped and he arrived! Literally 1 minute of pushing him out and we were done! Ali almost had to catch him as midwife was out of the room, but luckily she came back running when she heard my primal scream (OMG it HURT). No stitches, no worries, feeling almost normal today!
So yes, done and dusted and we’re home today! He’s now a day and a half old, and doing very well! Oh, and he was 10lbs 4.5oz. Yeah, big baby! 🙂
I will post a link to his first photos once I figure it out, since Ali posted them up and not me!
So yes, sleep now. 🙂
Wow! I would say you had a pretty good labor…and a big baby! Glad you are both doing okay! Rest up cause your gonna need it!

Wow, big baby! I was 9lbs 7.5oz. He beats me! haha. No wonder you were in pain, but so glad it was a quick delivery! Funny that your husband pretty much had to catch the baby. lol.

RYN: Your note gives the impression that things are really good, despite a bit of a lack of sleep, which is to be expected. Really glad you’re all settling in to each other ok, and he’s sleeping really well by the sounds of it. Good for you for being so good at routine. Haha to the boy bits. They do need different care don’t they. xx
